Looks like a 27 plane Kate squadron, and 18 plane Val squadron and 2 Zeroes.

Which class would that be?

Yet, if it is a carrier they would almost have to be parked right on top of one of our scout subs.

There is a restricted 36 plane Kate squadron on Honshu at the start. They start as B5N1's but could have been converted up by now. There are also two restricted Val squadrons, one exapandable to 36 planes

There are also restricted Claude squadrons that might have been upgraded to Zeroes.

You wouldn't think that if we had been spotted there would have been so many transports playing around. Maybe we did surprise them and they were just well prepared. Either way the BB's have to turn around and increase distance.

Srikingly unattractive woman: Please tell me this isn't true what I hear about those poor Japanese snow monkeys!

Heh. I really enjoy your briefings as well as how you "admit" sinkings at that bar in Hawaii. Great AAR! [:)]

Yes, better pack up the Christmas ornaments at ABDA HQ. Little yellow bastards are running all over Java like so many vermin.

When she was a teenager, my sister was impaled on a fence something like that while climbing over it. She lifted herself off and went home to be driven to the emergency room. Today that would be 'breaking news!' with drones buzzing the fire-fighters as they cut out a 30-ft section of fence! [:D]

Well, it's a security measure. Can't have some kid named Mogli trying to sneak in and steal the dessert during strategy meetings and the like.

Speaking of strategy meetings, should we have one? Can you take a bomber or something and come to Oahu? The drinks are only 55 cents at the Royal Hawaiian. There are some nice Filipino types who could take notes.

Sure, might have to cancel the topless hula exhibition, though.
