Hello and thank you for your incredible work. Core mods 12 = 3Go and 13 = 1,25Go...need to use the two or all you work is include in the 13 ?

Hello Hellway. Thank you very much for your kind words.
The new "Scenarios for Heroes and Leaders mod Historical Modules" pack only contains the scenarios from the old Historical Modules, which until now were included in the "Core of Heroes and Leaders mod."
Now, the "Core of Heroes and Leaders mod" contains the main files needed to play the "Heroes and Leaders mod," as well as the scenarios from the "Advanced Heroes and Leaders Collection," that is, the scenarios inspired by the old Squad Leader and Advanced Squad Leader scenarios.
To answer your question, the updates will only be made to the "Core of Heroes and Leaders mod."
The reason for this separation between the "Historical Modules" and the "Advanced Heroes and Leaders Collection" scenarios is to reduce the size of the ZIP file and allow for easy transfer over the internet.
I hope I've clarified your questions.

I understand you're referring to the cardboard counters developed by our friend Chinchin. In this case, I think they're already fully updated.

Hello asl3d. I am downloading the mod from the start of this thread and see the install instructions here. I need to start from scratch cause I screwed up my install by trying a different unit card style but want your unit cards.
I am wondering there are 2 mods "Heroes and Leaders mod" and then in the next thread "Heroes and Leaders mod historical"
do I install both of these mods or only one?
EDIT: I just saw your info about using "heroes and Leaders mod" is the one I should use. I see it is 539MB but the historical one is 1.0GB so does that mean the historical one has more of your content?

You're doing it correctly. The Core now weighs "only" 539 MB. What I've done is remove the scenarios, introductions, and maps from the first Historical Modules (Stalingrad, Omaha, Partizani, Market Garden, etc.). That is, the Core now only has the scenarios and maps from the "Advanced Heroes and Leaders Collection," whose scenarios are inspired by the historical scenarios from the "Advanced Squad Leader" board game.
Indeed, if you need to reinstall the Heroes and Leaders mod, you'll also need to download and install the "Heroes and Leaders mod historical" to also have the first scenarios, instructions, and maps from the first Historical Modules (Stalingrad, Omaha, Partizani, Market Garden, etc.), which weigh 1 GB.
Both installations are not incompatible and are complementary.

Thanks for clarifying that. I definitely want those previous campaigns like in Normandy and Market Garden so I will install both.

I reinstalled the game, updated with both mod packs.
The original game was about 1.27GB and went up to 5.15GB full tooled up.
I did a test game and it works okay except for the briefing screen could not be scrolled down to see all the info. Maybe there was a scroll button I missed on it.
I will try another battle tomorrow.

I will play another battle tonight. I clicked on Kursk last night which was a bad choice cause there were a lot of mines stopping me from advancing. The gunfire from the Russian AT guns and MG guns was plenty enough.
Your wonderful map board of Kursk makes that area look like an ideal tourist vacation spot.

Well, Kursk is a difficult scenario. The German commander has the best tanks, but the Russian commander has more tanks and a lot of artillery. The German half-track vehicles have to move carefully to avoid being destroyed. The embarked infantry has to do its job.
I advise you to save the game frequently to return to the last saved impulse if the Russian commander surprises you with an ambush tank or an unexpected counterattack. It's fine to restart from the last saved impulse. I, at least, won't hold it against you...

No sorry. I can't do save & reload in games cause it kills immersion.
I take the good, bad and ugly as part of what the universe is serving up for me.
But also I don't mind losing. It is part of enjoying war.
I only used Kursk for a quick test and should have clicked on a smaller scenario to try it out.
There are a lot of more manageable battles in your list.
Often I wonder if it is possible to string your battles together into a campaign? What do you think? Maybe difficult to make a campaign in this game.

Very good. I admire your fair play. So, you have to move cautiously because the Russian commander is waiting for you. Use plenty of scouts, both infantry and "expendable" vehicles. But don't forget that you have to Exit at least 10 vehicles from the battlefield (but not necessarily with infantry in them...).
Regarding campaigns, I've never tried to organize one. I don't even know how to do it...

Just a small question. I'm one of those old fashioned guys who would prefer to see the "counters" of the troops in "cardboard" style more like the original game. Is this possible with your mod?
