There were only two combat rounds in Axis turn 43 so I destroyed only 5 Soviet units: 4 infantry types and 1 naval unit. Here's the Axis losses so far:

Hey Curt:
Congratulations ! You seem to have contained the armies of the Third Reich. It seems that every hole I make you plug up right away. Leningrad is a fortress, Moscow seems safe, the south is contained.......there aren't any good places left to attack. Good job.
Here is where the game sortof changes character. Whereas the early turns saw rapid movement and lots of losses, now the game takes on the WWI style of play where a handfull of hexes changes hands back and forth several times and gains are measured in single hexes gained per turn. At least that's been my experience in earlier games.
You've even surpassed me in terms of fighters aloft [see attached picture showing Soviet air superiority larger than Axis AS ]. It's looking like it's all downhill for the Axis side. I may even have to go on the defensive soon, at least for the duration of the winter season.

So um...........quick question......This Soviet arty unit is in the orange so it's readiness is probably somewhere in the 30's range say 33%. So does that mean that I have to calculate in my head what 33% of it's 8 attack factor is left for ground suppport or does the 8 on the unit graphic mean that 8 is 33% of whatever the unit originally had to attack/defend with? Just a thought.

8 is the current attack/defence modifier, with all the other things already applied. As you lose supply/readiness/equipment the numbers change.
However those numbers really matter at all...at least that is what I have noticed.

Did you ever hear the one about the Agnostic who had dyslexia and insomnia? He used to lay awake at night wondering if there really is a dog.

I'm close to sneaking up on Kalinin but he has lots of reinforcements coming up the rail line so I may not be able to capture it anytime soon.

I've noticed those mini-movies don't seem to cover as much ground as they used to
