I've just realized that I'm wasting the services of two carriers w/ attacks on ground forces. I should be chasing ships with them.

And then there was this air strike on Georgetown. Whittle down his airpower there a little bit.

And then there was this air strike on Singapore. No Allied CAP this time. Maybe he's getting low on fighters at Singers.

I see now what's happening........Jim was using those ships at Johnston Island as bait to get me to expose the carriers and now he's
chasing them with his heavy guns. I'm going to have to retreat it looks like because I'm not sure I have the air power to dispatch all
those heavy guns before he gets to my carriers.

And then a bunch of attacks happened in China and then there was this event:

I'm attacking his heavy guns w/ everything I have and there were no hits and there was no CAP and I'm afraid I haven't got enough
bombers left to make a dent in his armour. I'll have to run for it. Full speed and get out of there ASAP.

It looks like we have a little air war going on over Darwin. I'm bombing his airbase and so far my raids have been escorted so I'll let them
keep going unless and until it starts getting expensive to do so. This may go on a long time. I expect Jim to move his B-17's up north
and bomb me, bomb my airfield. I may have to get some surface forces together and go bombard Darwin to dampen his warlike ardour.

Jim has brought out the AVG so I may have to stand these guys down or restrict their range or something. I don't think I have any more
fighters of high quality to committ to this fight either. It's either go up against the AVG and ignore the losses or give ground and live to
fight another day. I'm pretty sure Jim will use the AVG offensively as well. I may have bitten off more than I can chew here.

This is the second air strike on Jim's big guns and STILL no hits. I may lose some carriers from this incident. I can go to full-speed and
maybe give him a good chase but he's probably got me beat on the speed. Maybe it's a factor of how long he's willing to chase my
carriers. He's probably prepared to run them out of gas in the effort.

Jim has pushed a sub up into my port at Balikpapan and is making a pest of himself. I may have to fly some ASW into there to help out.

I'm doing bombardments instead of just attacking him at Manila because I wanted to avoid all the high losses attacks that would result.
But on the other hand HIS bombardments are causing mucho casualties so I'm wondering if I ought to just pull the plug and attack him
instead of doing bombardments. I'm going to try an attack tomorrow just to see what results accrue.

Here's the lineup for tomorrow morning for the attack on Manila:

There's savage fighting still going on on the island of Java. So far I have a tiny edge but I think I might be able to move some more
people in there to sweeten the odds a bit. Maybe I can figure out a way to do some naval bombardment or something. I'd rather not
damage the facilities there however, given a choice.

And then the next thing that happened was this ground attack by the Allies at Manila. THIS is the kind of attack that is killing my dudes.
I figure I HAVE to attack him to make the bombardments stop somehow. The planes are SLOWLY making a difference but it's not fast
enough for about 350+ of my troops each day. I may have to move some more dudes yet into there.

And then there was this Allied bombardment attack. Here's another example of where I went off half-cocked and didn't bring enough
people to do the job. The 4th / C division is in Batavia now and I have the 4th / B in Oosthaven ready to be transported, now if the
shipping were only there already. They are on their way, couple of days away but we're planning on having all three parts of the 4th
Division in Java eventually. Then I can combine them into one to make the full division. Then after Java I guess I'll have to use the 4th
Division in Singapore.

And then there was this Allied bombardment attack that didn't grab any traction. I've got my guys set to do a DA tomorrow so we'll see
what kind of attack I can mount at this time. I may have to move some more people up to that area to get the front line moving again.

And then there was this Allied bombardment attack at Gasmata. I'm guessing Jim knows attacking me uses up supply and that he's
attacking me just to be using up the supply there at Gasmata so I don't get it eventually. Sneaky, this Jim.
