Allied rear gunners are ready for anything Luftwaffe sends...

Poor tail-end charlies [:(] That's a position I would not have liked to be in... along with pilot, flight engineer, navigator, wireless operator, bomb aimer and mid-upper gunner. Let's face it, being in one of those things, weighed down with bombs, would be scary even without a war on - but then there are fighters and ack-ack....

No problem, you can be our ventral gunner. [;)]

J/F 40 Allies 6

No DoW or alignments.

All combined except China; land.

Naval move:
France sends TRS to CVB and picks up Dakar MIL.
USSR sends TRS to Black Sea and picks up INF from Sevastopol.
TRANS in Calais sails to North Sea 2-box and loads GARR from London. A significant part of the Med fleet (2 CV, 5 BB and 2 CA) sails from Gib into West Med 3-box.
US moves 3 CV's from San Diego to Norfolk.

CW declines naval combat in West Med and St Vincent. CW subs in the Italian Coast continue searching for the Italian convoys. Do the Axis wish to add any air support? NAV's can reach 2-box, FTR the 1-box.

Yes of course. Except for one small problem. I couldn't fit one leg in that space, let alone my fat arse.

I saw a very sad picture of a shot up B-17 that had been forced to belly land. The problem was, the turret had been jammed down and the gunner was still stuck in it. One can only imagine the heart-breaking last conversations with the rest of the crew.

Well, if you are going roll a 9/1 split in your opponent's favour, that was the time to do it. No combat as RN subs struggle to find themselves let alone anything else.

USSR rails INF from Penza to Sevastopol.
France rails 5-3 INF from Nice to same hex with HQ Georges in north.
Manchester MIL rails from Liverpool to London.

The Nationalists continue to reorganise their forces.

Now I feel sad. I am actually glad that I haven't seen that picture. And I try very hard not to imagine that conversation. But thank you for sharing. Makes for some pondering.

Indeed. And makes me mutter something about lazy naval air pilots.

France swaps hexes in Italian border with MTN and 3-3 INF. MOT div from SW of Lyons moves to 2 hexes north of Lyons.

USSR: GAR in Bulgaria moves one hex NW.
In china Communist Chinese moves 4-2 MIL to hex NW of Chengchow and 5-3 INF moves one hex east.

CW moves Belgium INF to Brussels. Wavell moves 4 hexes west from Toulon (63,28).

Air Transport:
USSR TB-3 picks up INF div and fly to Bulgaria, same hex with INF and GAR in north. TB-3 returns to Odessa.

Debark:
USSR debarks INF to Burgas in Bulgaria.
CW debarks GARR to Antwerp.

Rebase:
France rebases FTR3 to SW of Metz and FTR2 to 61,30 (2 hexes SW of Lyons). Looks like Axis are going to port strike Marseilles.
USSR rebases Pe-2 in Bulgaria to same hex with ENG.
CW rebases Spitfires to Belgium, west of Antwerp.

No reorgs.

Weather for the next couple of impulses.

The worst film I ever saw was a short film of a WW I "attack". A bunch of small black blobs moving forward in a spread out fashion, and every few seconds one of the blobs would stop moving and fall down ....

Save it for later, thanks. We'll chance the air combat at -1/+1.
