A pretty boring turn, a handful of op losses for Japan. No attacks...but will make up for it with todays turn.
A look at Singers, putting it into order and preparing for the next wave of attacks. I need to decide if I go straight for the west coast of India.[X(]
Koggala, in Ceylon, is lightly bombed, but all the transports there unload over the beaches without interference. Will look at some fast transports to grab the islands to the west now while we consolidate strength in Ceylon. Flying Tigers are here. No naval search from the Allies.

Doing something wrong here.
I loaded this cargo ship at Tokyo, and it cannot create Barges.
I thought I did it correctly, loaded at Tokyo, transport ship.

IIRC you need 10,000 supply to make barges or other small craft.
EDIT: I did not recall correctly ... again! [:(]
I looked on my game and I had two TFs of about 4500 tons of supply each and both loaded in SFO that could create PTs and Barges. There were PTs and Landing Craft in the pools on the Ship Reinforcement page.

China...going for the northern route currently. Tank thrusts up the Ankang and Sian Roads with a strong infantry push from the east moving west towards Sian. Lots of Chinese here.
300+ squads destroyed today, along with 40 guns for no loss.
Tactical mistake not abandoning Yenan. Those are good troops.

Reread the criteria I last provided on 24 January 2021. Bullet point #4 under paragraph 3 is directly on point as to why the TF at Tokyo can't generate barges.

Moving on Wenchow...and cleaning up some straggling Chinese.
IJN subchasers punish a Dutch sub off Singapore to Palembang route.

Please, be gentle and mention also in what thread?

PT boats can be built in Sydney. Under certain circumstances they could be built in Colombo too.
I set out the conditions in November 2011. This thread provides an opportunity for me to set out in greater detail how PT boats, and the other types listed on page 108 of the manual, can be created using supply.
1. There must be PT boats in the pool. Surplus PT boats can be sent back to the pool and after a delay will be come available for reassignment on map.
2. They can be created at an Australian or American port which meets the following criteria:
port is size 1
port has 10k supply points
For each PT boat created, 50 supply points are expended from the local port supplies. Up to 12 PT boats (subject to there being sufficient supply) will be created in each batch.
3. They can be created from the supply carried by a Transport Task Force if the following criteria is met:
the Transport TF loaded it's supply at the National Home Base (San Francisco for an American transport TF, Sydney for an Australian transport TF)
only ships in the transport TF with a cargo capacity of 1000 or more are candidates to generate PT boats
candidate ships must still have a minimum of 50 or more supply points not yet unloaded to generate a PT boat
the transport TF is located at an on map base which is not the same base where the supply was taken on board
Accordingly, an American Transport TF which loads supply at San Francisco on to two xAK with a cargo capacity of 8420 each, could sail to Auckland where it unloads 8200 supply points at Auckland from each merchantman, have its unloading stopped at that point and provided sufficient PT boats are in the pool, create a total of 8 PT boats (4 from each merchantman) and then unload the remaining 40 supply points.
It is usually much easier to create PT boats under method 2.

Interesting fight, for two reasons. Leaders plus minus is obviously one of the reasons, what do you think is the 2nd reason?
IJA tanks force the river crossing south of Ankang. Follow up forces reinforcing today, with the infantry and artillery still further down the road.
IJA tank spearhead supported by one division will attack just below Sian, at Yaowang Mountain. Lots of Chinese troops at Sian which is close to being cut off.
8 Chinese Units at Yenan...which is a mistake, although I don't think much can stop this Japanese onslaught. Sinyang also has quite a few Chinese units.

Such bad odds for the attacker but no attacker casualties!

Nothing but bad weather here, snowstorms, ice storms...argh.

Good attack here in China...a little more disablements but it netted a ton of destroyed units without destroying the units.

Yesterday the Flying Tigers and Blenheims bombed Koggla, but ran into two full Sentai of Zeroes and were manhandled. No Allied interference at all today...Want to seal off Koggla, to Port Blair to Ramree catching all the Allied shipping still here.

Even if the weather is bad, as long as you have power and water then you will do okay. Be safe and take care.

The little dot bases AndyMac added to the scenario are really quite nifty...here Yaowang Mountain is quite important to opening up the way to Sian.
China built forts three here! A bit of a surprise. But now we have burned the Chinese Supply substantially, and will force a retreat...
No stacking limit game.

Andy added existing forts to some of these new bases. Yaowang was one of them. A very good chance IMO.

Hoping for a good outcome next week!

A little leery of the Allied mines at Colombo...but hitting 75 fighters on the ground with battleships might be worth it.
