What's your Strategy?

I'm thinking about Korea or northern Honshu.
Korea will be for sure less defended than Japan but to get there i'll need to expose my fleet to his LBA+KB+Surface Combined fleet.

I would think the China/Manchuko army would collapse into Korea if you invade Korea. In addition not sure u could maintain supply thru sea of japan. The good thing would be those units would not return into Japan.
I would expect an invasion of Korea to be a one way trip. Better to go direct into Honshu or one of those off coast islands to get the fighter bases.(is not that what we did in real life, get some off coast islands?)ORIGINAL: pat.casey

Plus, what do you get out of Korea? Not like you need more airbases close to Honshu and its peripheral to the Japanese war effort at this point (although maybe somebody more familiar with Japanese production will disagree)

The real benefit of an invasion into Korea would be to, potentially, drop the Japanese garrison in Manchukuo/Korea below 8,000 AV and force the activation of the Soviets.
Sneaky and powerful and guaranteed to allow the Soviets to sweep into China, collapsing the IJA - which Rader must be relying on to garrison Honshu. So, the best reason to invade Korea is its indirect effects elsewhere.
With that said there's a superior utilisation for those troops instead of Korea - at least temporally.
ummmm, a real game killer to japan...wonder what the VP effect would be? hell, the jap troops cant get home fast enough. [:D]ORIGINAL: Nemo121

don't bother about waiting for good weather... - I've had the same experience with weather over Hokkaido... - it's always thunderstorms or heavy rains.... doesn't get any better... at least not in the 9 months I've been on this island now with my Allied troops...
sometimes your bombers take off - sometimes they don't... night bombing is particularly difficult....
