You gotta love an airplane that leaks fuel all over the ground because the skin is not hot enough yet to seal the fuel tanks[:D]
Like the SR-71? It had the opposite problem. As the skin cooled , it leaked . I recall seeing one land at Mildenhall. I thought the plane was leaking , but was told by a maintainer , "no that's normal". Scarey. Especially since they had a tendency to "drive it right into the hanger". [X(]
Same problem - it needed to be very hot to keep a seal on the tanks... leaked when on the ground... waiting to take off, or (from your story) on landing.
iirc, i don't think it was regular jet fuel - it had a higher flash point so it wasn't as dangerous.
No , it was an exotic type that needed a special KC-135 tanker.A KC-135Q , which carried JP-7.

Hey Dixie, how many hours of maintenance per hour of flight time do your planes require... i was rather surprised at the C5 requirements (16-30+ hours maintenance/hour of flight time, depending on the model...[&:])
