Really feeling tense for the Eytie game later on....(fingernails all gone, down to my toenails...wait, scratch that)

Curling and Sumo -- ah, these enormous guys with nappies [:D] -- are the most funny sports to me.

Curling and Sumo -- ah, these enormous guys with nappies [:D] -- are the most funny sports to me.

What about darts? [:D] Especially in german satellite channel format.

"Matches" are being played in front of packed halls of people who are sitting on benches, drinking and eating.

What an event! Love it! What else you gonna do on a Saturday?

Well, when I say "funny", I mean it: I only see these sports to have a BIG laugh [:D]

Let's not forget the Poker Matches in Eurosport channel... the players are funny as hell: guys with sunglasses... [:D] Housewives with a lot of make-up etc. etc.

Eurosport poker matches are high class, you need to watch "underground" poker matches from some other satellite channels which are often "transmitted" by low class Croatian TV channels. What a game! Also guys with sunglasses + styling from 1980's Teresa Orlowski porno movie.

All this stuff reminded me of a true classic from the time when i was a little kid watching tv commercials whole morning [:D][:D]

I can't belive it! Without a drop of oil!

"Eurosport poker matches are high class" [X(] You mean that there ARE "low class" matches? Is this possible? [8D] If the matches on Eurosport are already 100% funny, then the ones you mention must be hilarious. I will try to watch them. Thank you [:)]

Anyway, someone should tell me why sunglasses are allowed [&:] Poker is all about deceit... Either you master that "technique" or you don't. Therefore sunglasses should be prohibited.

I am very happy that Italy lost to Spain on PKs....I cannot stand the Italian defensive brand of football and I am glad they are gone!

I would have prefered to win against Italy in the final.

You might not like the defensive style as played by the Italians, but it<s hard to deny it brought results. Incidentally, both sides missed out some whopper of goals yesterday.
As for alternate sports, let us not forget 2 more: Lawn bowling and Mini-Putt ( mini-golf), especially as broadcasted in Quebecois French..."...et c'est le..Birdieeee..."

The amazing thing about Italy is that they have [now and on the past] a lot of talent AND therefore could play a creative, offensive football... But that's not their philosophy. And right, this kind of football gave them excellent results.

With no England in I am not sure who to support. Wanted Holland to win but Russia had other ideas. I'm afraid it has to be Spain and Fernando Torres. In some ways it has been more enjoyable without England. Stevie Gerrard gets a rest ready for next season and the news hasn't been all about what Frank Lampard had to eat and how bad we're playing. Best news is that Ronaldo looks like getting his dream move to Real Madrid, would love to be present when he tells Ferguson [;)]

Punk Reaper, I take it that you are Liverpool supporter, right? "Stevie Gerrard gets a rest ready for next season". Ronaldo leaving are obviously good news if you want to assault the Premier League (Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool).

Yes, born in Anfield, Liverpool so I wasn't given much choice. Now if we can just get a rich owner who would put some money in the player kitty I will be able to get off the prozac.

My original guess was Germany/Dutch final but obviously that's out the window. Now I think Germany/Spain. I think Turkey is just too depleted now to continue their Cinderella run. Spain/Russia is harder to call but it looks like Spain has more talented players even though they didn't exactly shine (at least not til it mattered) during Italy's game. I hate the Italian style of play even though they have some great individual players. Should be an interesting next couple of days!

of course, germany ! :)

but spain is better if you ask me but i thought that of portugal too, but we have seen what has happend.

I just wonder why the britos dont have a decent goal keeper. they have such fine players but they lack of any goal keeper that would keep the team in a tournament. what a pity. every 2. Bundesliga keeper here would be a better take then theirs. dont get me wrong but i simply dont understand that.

No the turks weren't better - both teams were bad!

The Turks played what they could. We played like Luschen (someone may translate it, I don`t have the right word, but it isn`t positive).
