You would have to take what I said personally to find it insulting.
Unless you have been acting in such a manner it would simply not apply.
And I can see that to at least one it did.

Another lesson learned: If your words are divisive and people don't trust your motives, they will revert to conservative principles of independent living. If the people don't trust you to govern their lives, they will react to ensure their own private governance of their ideals.
The only one I trust to govern my life is me (and of course my wife [;)] ).
Governors "govern" their states. The President is to preside over the states. Our government should be of, by, and for The People.
The problem to me is that we have too many who think it is the government over the people. Too many who want the government to do things for them or give things to them.
Therefore, and not a problem, The People take to defending themselves from the government.

1/13 You will find that your opinion and a couple of bucks will get
you a nice big cup of coffee.
1/16 Rather like the Americans are
a primitive tribe who produce and worship their own legends for their own purposes.
1/17 If they ever do you can say goodbye to your hokey old gun religion. I am not pro regulation, I am anti idiot.
And that is how I FEEL.
I have found most of your "contributions" to the discussion to be weak at best and mostly condescending.
And, I will never bow to your anti gun and anti freedom religion.
George Bernard Shaw? Of course. The Fabian Socialist who thought so highly of America and American values?
I am sure he was for individual rights and gun ownership.

Sorry if this sort of thing has been posted before but I can't be arsed going through this tedious thread to check. Here's some hot chicks in bikini "uniforms" firing various weapons...[:'(]

Some of these now contain a lot of plastic components...as do the guns [:'(]

^^More than a little plastic that's for sure.
I apologise if you don't like my tone. I do not oppose your religious freedoms.
I just wish the hysterical and paranoid tone would go away. You have a case to present
and the hyperbole expressed by some adds little to it.

Best post yet on this thread, Neilster! Many thanks! [&o]
Some of those women are terrible shots. I could hardly watch their bad marksmanship, but yet found the strength to carry on and watch it all. 27 times.

So bloody typical, it takes a Tasmanian to bring a highly entertaining, educational and informing thread to the pits. Your post will probably get the thread locked.

I beg your pardon? Are you attempting to discriminate against me on the basis of where I live? I hope not. Given the content of the Australian Beauties thread, the sight of women in bikinis shouldn't get the thread locked. Have you ever been to a beach?
If you have a problem with women in bikinis, Saudi Arabia will be more than happy to take you. BTW, I'm actually from New South Wales, which kind of deflates your nasty little insult anyway.

This is heartwarming and very, very, very revealing:
Feinstein Gun Control Bill to Exempt Government Officials
I really would like the gun control advocates to explain this. Why would government officials need exemption. Hell, citizens need exemption. This is just what I have been referring to when I say we have the right to own any firearm in order to protect ourselves from tyrannical government.
The hypocrisy of those in a certain political party I was told not to name on the forum is mind blowing.

Hey, any comment on this you second amendment opponents?
"It should come as no surprise that the Communist Party USA is on board with President Obama’s plan to attack Americans’ right to keep and bear arms as a means to “end gun violence.” A cardinal feature of communist regimes, like all dictatorships, is the prohibition of private ownership of arms, creating a monopoly of force in the hands of the State.
In a January 18 article, People’s World, an official publication of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), declared that “the ability to live free from the fear or threat of gun violence is a fundamental democratic right — one that far supercedes any so-called personal gun rights allegedly contained in the Second Amendment.”
The article, entitled, “Fight to end gun violence is key to defending democracy,” written by People’s World labor and politics reporter Rick Nagin, claims that “the right-wing extremists opposing all efforts to curb gun violence are the same forces that rallied behind Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, hoping to undermine every other democratic right as well as the living standards of workers and ordinary Americans.”

+1 Amen.
Taking our guns will surely make us true sheep?
I wonder if "celebrities", Athletes, and drug dealers will be exempted too?
When all the power resides in government the people are powerless and the country is weak. When power resides with the people the government is weak and the country is strong.
I prefer a strong country to a weak one.

I am stunned that people who have been saying "you don't need certain weapons" are not having their eyes opened by the exemption of "GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS" from the laws they want to impose on the country. I just don't understand how this fails to convert most people to the pro-second amendment side. AAHH.[&:][&:]

And yet, proponents of gun control constantly say to me "we don't want to take your guns, just outlaw the future sale of certain guns". All these people need do is simply amend the constitution to eliminate the 2nd amendment. I have suggested this and their response is-oh you are being silly. They don't understand the creeping restrictions on freedom with each little change in those freedoms. I caused someone to stutter last week when I angrily(faked) told him his 1st amendment right to free speech should not allow him to talk of gun control, because he was putting children of gun owners in danger(the children, the children! He said "not the same thing". Of course he wants his freedoms guaranteed, but not those he disagrees with. SIGH.[:(]
Ex-Liberal playwright David Mamet recently said
“All of us have had dealings with the State, and have found, to our chagrin, or, indeed, terror, that we were not dealing with well-meaning public servants or even with ideologues but with overworked, harried bureaucrats. These, as all bureaucrats, obtain and hold their jobs by complying with directions and suppressing the desire to employ initiative, compassion, or indeed, common sense. They are paid to follow orders,” Mamet wrote.
“Rule by bureaucrats and functionaries is an example of the first part of the Marxist equation: that the Government shall determine the individual’s abilities. … President Obama, in his reelection campaign, referred frequently to the ‘needs’ of himself and his opponent, alleging that each has more money than he ‘needs.’ But where in the Constitution is it written that the Government is in charge of determining ‘needs’?
“[Obama] has just passed a bill that extends to him and his family protection, around the clock and for life, by the Secret Service. He, evidently, feels that he is best qualified to determine his needs, and, of course, he is. As I am best qualified to determine mine. For it is, again, only the Marxists who assert that the government, which is to say the busy, corrupted, and hypocritical fools most elected officials are (have you ever had lunch with one?) should regulate gun ownership based on its assessment of needs.”
“President Obama seems to understand the Constitution as a ‘set of suggestions.’ I cannot endorse his performance in office, but he wins my respect for taking those steps he deems necessary to ensure the safety of his family. Why would he want to prohibit me from doing the same?”
Puliter Prize-winning playwright David Mamet: Obama's gun control policy is Marxist

Yeah. I think the problem for the President's proposals will actually come from Senator Harry Reid(D., Nevada). Reid received and widely touted NRA endorsement during his last campaign. Reid has a history of saying gun control is a no-go. He knows damn well that most Nevada residents will vote with their feet if he supports the proposals.

Maybe there’s something to B.H.O fascination with Honest Abe tyrannical presidency ?
You’d be hard pressed to find a speech that B.H.O hasn’t quoted Abe, never mind he has said on many occasions he idolized ‘n studied Lincoln as a Constitutional lawyer……….[&:]
