The French sub captain launches a full spread at the unsuspecting Abruzzi.

Most miss but one strikes the cruiser on the bows. The water-tight bulkheads hold, limiting the flooding. Miraculously, a second torpedo strikes the same spot, further mangling the wrecked bow but not imperilling the ship. While escorting destroyers hunt for the French sub, the cruiser limps back to port.

The French sub, like the silent killer it was designed to be, slinks quietly away into the depths of the sea.

All surprise points were used to increase damage as Allied losses were NE.

Both sides elect to fight (I assume this was correct choice) but, with no suitable targets, the Allied subs stay on the bottom. Combat ends.

Italians decline naval combat in Italian Coast as they don't anticipate the Allied subs would commit, even if they could be found by the Italian ATR in the 0-box.

I decline the Italian Coast on behalf of the Allies as there is nothing for the subs to attack.

Does the French cruiser squadron in the Baltic wish to engage?

Yes.

Once again the CW gives orders to speed things up. [:D]

Yes please. From the bridge of the Tourville the order goes out to hunt down Axis shipping.

The cruiser squadron chases down several suspected plumes of smoke on the horizon but each time draws a blank (searches Allies 6, Axis 9).

German 105mm's open a barrage on Antwerp. They achieve par.

The Italian Libya Mech crosses the border into France, while Ethiopian territorials take the city of Djibouti.

Japanese artillery enters Yenan. The US papers mention it in passing (5 rolled). An Inf captures Nanyang, which also gets no more than a mention (5 rolled).

China post movement.

Guess it takes longer to relay by semaphore to the bridge of HMS Warspite.

Semaphore?!

I want you to know that we use signal flags!

Well I suppose single flags will also take quite a time.

Okay, I hope I've interpreted the instructions from Herr Chancellor correctly.

A German LXXI Inf moves adjacent to Lodz. In the West, XII Inf, LXXXVI Garr and supporting PzJg1's occupy Strasbourg. The Alpine Corps occupies the positions east of Antwerp vacated by XII Inf.

The Germans declare 3 land combats and the Japanese 1. Me-109's, flying as fighter-bombers contribute ground-support to an attack on the French XVII Inf.

Final odds

Which tables would the Allies care to select?

Edit: Scratch that. Combat doesn't look right.

I assume the Germans have the choice for the 3:1 in France?

I think not, there is only INF and AT gun attacking.
