This message was fantastic. It doesn't say anything defining, but it hints at design mentality of making an advanced DWU, not making a new game with a "2" appended to the title.

I have to say that I probably would have been happy and excited either way (because the people making DWU should be capable of making another great unique game), but the focus on a better DWU inspires a lot of confidence.

Cheers!

Agreed.

And keep up the good work on your YouTube channel! [:)]

Amen to that! It's like a completely different game, and is so challenging that it's the only reason I'm still playing DW.

Confession time - I've never played as a Pirate.

Sounds like I'm missing out!

Read this and then read it again. And then basically throw out everything you knew about how to win at DW. It won't work as a pirate.

Nice. Sounds like a different game. I'd better some time to one side to try a pirate start! [:)]

Simply put, since I started playing pirates for the first time, I never went back to playing regular empires anymore. It's a reckless mode with no downtimes. That's a bit overwhelming at times but lots of fun too.

Why bother making dosh yourself when you can setup extortion on a galactic scale?

Why won't you set up a gofundme or patreon account to support development, I'm sure quite a few fans of Distant Worlds would gladly support it (including myself)
