Really? Why, may I ask? I don't want to hijack Lowpes AAR. But I like this, and some of the other maps provided by modders.

It is hard to tell the hexes. It is very hard to see political borders.

At least for me....so I am mixed/

This, and it just feels like I'm looking at it through sunglasses the entire time. everything is muted and darker. I prefer the stock map.

The brightest with these colors is below. With base comparison.


Other maps, too many for here, are multiple layers of the map set at differ colors. Gives a different look.

Sure, have it at. So many people have commented on the maps for the entire game. No reason to stop now.[:)]

TK to AO conversions - Are you doing any for your large TKs while they are not needed much now to increase operational flexibility?

No.

I convert standard A thru D merchants to tankers.

In general, I use merchants as refueling beasts rather than oilers. Not as efficient, but to me tankers and oilers need to be hauling fuel and oil from port to port.

There are more than enough big capacity merchants to act as a refueling arm.

Eesh. Honestly, it's just the whole color palette in these to me. The hues are too deep.

That was just a starting point, reduced it for a more subtle look. I can make a map in less time than most can do a turn.

If you have photo software you can play with the effects with this map or the original.
If you want to use this style I could eventually get the right hue.
Too many to list all ive made. What I see on my monitor may be different than what is on yours.
