Yaowang Mtn sees most of the IJA stragglers arrive, IJA Tank spearhead and artillery train now in place there, we should make fairly short work of the defenders.

China has almost 100,000 troops in Sian and Yaowang Mtn respectively, plus another 9 units cut off SE of Yaowang.

Yaowang Mtn is circled, btw.

If I remember correctly you cannot stop fort building at a dot base.

Sian will be Japanese in a few days, as Yaowang Mountain falls...this will open up the cutting of the Lanchow road and resources to Chungking. The vast majority of enemy troops have been cut off and sent off base in this area. Japanese tanks will race north and then west to the Chungking Plains...

41st and 37th Divisions are forcing a river crossing against only 1 Chinese unit that is showing a movement pip to the west...this move should allow Japan to grab the very critical mountain passes well a head of retreating Chinese forces.

So, I think Chinese defense is cracked heavily. Just need to watch my rear echelon troops, till I capture the Plains of Chungking.

Ceylon front: Our Kongo's are keeping up the damaging bombardments...another 9 Flying Tigers destroyed last night. 36 H81-A3s destroyed on the ground so far this war.[:)]

Action around Ceylon...

More ships at Triv…

Fifth Carrier Division launches a strike...no enemy fighters for some reason....

A little larger afternoon attack clears the harbor....better dl, and many reported hits in the afternoon search phase.

China

IJA lead elements are in Sian, where a large Chinese Army is retreating into the rough terrain...when the full IJA Army appears we still won't attack but rather give the Chinese time to retreat. Hopefully this will allow our forces to take Ankang and the mountain road passes before this major slug of Chinese troops can get there.

Also, forcing large Chinese elements into non base terrain should really accelerate supply expenditure by the Chinese.

Game has been going slowly...

Consolidating Ceylon, moving on cutting off northern China...watching the Chinese move aggressively elsewhere. Nothing too exciting...will post more next turn and hopefully get the correct game![;)]
