The Japs flew through some heavy rain to hit San Jose and got a hand full of hits on the port and the troops there. If only the base had an AAA unit there. They came in at about 6K feet and that would have been a piece of cake for some flak units.

Every afternoon these handful of Vals hits Kanhsien and only because they are coming in so low they get a couple of hits. If only I had some AAA units there that wouldn't happen.

This is the second time this week that Zamboanga has been struck by Jap aircraft. They got a handful of hits on the runway; so few only because they dropped from 11K feet. In a thunderstorm.

It was overcast above Clark Field today so the Nates and Lilys that struck hit nothing at all. However there were no Jap losses either. And they were carrying only 4 x 100lb bombs which don't do much damage by themselves.

A Jap strike package of 26 Sallys struck Manila during a heavy rainstorm and got some hits on the runway and hit some troops. And our AA only damaged 2 of them.

Those are 100kg bombs or about 222lb bombs. Personally against lightly or unfortified targets such as infantry or other units in the open, I would want more bombs dropped even if they are smaller. That give more chances of getting hits, especially against aircraft at unfortified bases. Each reported hit, however, might be against a device already damaged.

Those Vals dropping bombs at 3k feet are dive bombing. I really enjoy seeing them trying to dive bomb light AAA units, those 40mms really enjoy the target practice. I mean, having your target going straight down at you and the target is withing range for at least 6k feet?

Thank you so much for this info. I stand corrected. I really appreciate all the game details you guys publish. Makes for a much better AAR.

Usually when the Japs strike Bataan some Allied troops get hurt but this time the Japs seem to have attacked the airfield instead.

I'm using my patrol aircraft to attack as well as patrol because they just might get a lucky hit. It's worth a try because I don't usually lose any aircraft this way.

I'm posting these images as they happen in the game and I've noticed a curiousity about the game and I thought I'd share it with you guys to see if anybody else has noticed this. First I use the WIN11 three-finger salute to bring up the snipper window ( shift-WINkey-s ), and frame the screenshot I want, and then switch to my MSpaint app to do a "paste" ( cntl-v ) and annotate the image prn ( pro rata normala " - as necessary" ) and save the image, then switch to my brave browser and post the image with whatever verbage to go with it and then when I switch back to the game ( here's where the magic happens ) the instant the game window appears there's a period of about 15 - 17 seconds when the game is unresponsive and then all of a sudden the top border of the window changes color signifying that "this window has focus now". And I can continue with the combat attacks. This happens every time. I've tried closing my browser and then opening it again but this has had no difference in the phenomenon. It's not a game stopper, not even a game changer, just something I've noticed.
