Let those escorts bombard as well! No real CD threat at Nauru.

Someone else said that letting the escorts bombard cuts down on the time available for the big guns to do so. I changed my settings based on that and I do notice that my bombardments seem to be a bit more effective and the big ships come home with fewer shells in their magazines.

Moulmein - Are you able to use a CA/CL bases bombardment TF at Rangoon to hit his base almost daily?? Get his disruption up high enough here like you seem to be doing at Nauru Island and the base will be yours soon enough.

The Royal Navy is at sea. The TF is three days out from Colombo heading to Diamond harbor for fuel and a rendezvous with a large supply TF from Cape Town, recently arrived at Calcutta. They will escort the merchants into Rangoon and commence the reduction of the coastal IJA positions. I wish I had some AKE in the Indian Ocean. The ahistorical R&D is a difficult nut. Air superiority is costing me dearly.

more shots from yesterday, most all RAF squadrons in the CBI are flying these now. One squadron has begun to fill out with P47s and one LBA squadron is flying
Corsairs, which have been mauled by Franks every time they have flown sweeps.

I hope that wasn't your combat engineer unit that was destroyed on Nauru!

I think it was an amphibious tank unit, the 110th withdraws (I think) and barely made the show. The good news, Kavieng falls on the 27th of May, the bad news,
Lars managed to evacuate the place first. Three hundred odd defenders are crushed under two heavily reinforced divisions. This little evacuation was under the nose of major ASW and surface units. FOOLED again!

If your CVs are just off shore, then set 20 to 30% for LRCAP over base to slow down transport planes bring in or evac of troops.
