No action along the Italian Coast.

Maybe US has more luck. South China Sea next. No additional Allied air.

Will Japan add their naval bomber? It can reach the 2-box.

The US submarines are excluded from the second round so that ends the combat in the South China Sea.

Last Allied search is in the China Sea. Japan has three fighters that reach the sea area (one reach the 2-box and the others reach the 1-box). Japan also has a naval bomber that reach the 1-box.

Any Japanese air?

Allies find the Japanese convoy again with a 3 rolled. However, because Japan rolled a 4 USA only has 3 surprise points so Japan selects naval air combat.

I do not understand why Japans 3 (reduced to 1.5, or rather 2 by the rain) gives 'No Effect' on the US sub. [&:] No matter, the surprise points would have to reduced it to nothing anyway. [:)]
