Why can't you drop paratroops from Cats?

I know that you can transfer or pick up at extreme ranges.
You can drop paras from cats. Or maybe only if it's a coastal hex? I have to check on that. The thing is, I know if it's an enemy base on a coastal hex they have to be paras. That I confirmed recently.

How do we know they aren't landing and then going ashore in rubber rafts? [:)]

Because there is no auto bombardment.

You mean you actually tried it? How many PBY's would you need to carry enough paras to seize a defended base with the heavy weapons necessary to auto-bombard?

By ra way...is there automatic shock attack?

Bealzebob & Peleliu: Bealzy has 24K LYB's and bombers and fighters and even cruisers in port.

Peleliu has 3K troops...may a naval guard unit of SNLF. There are transports there every day. They are reinforcing Bealzy.

Hmm. It begs the question has anyone ever taken a defended base with purely PBY-jumping paras?

If you had enough Emily's you could take Bakersfield from Paramashiro Jima. Imagine the shock when the 1st Raiding Regiment entered the Walmart and noticed nobody had shoes on.

In an experiment, I tried to reclaim some free time by showering every OTHER day.

I would not recommend this in the Summer.

Level 2 is my working idea because it seems a C-47 will neither drop paras or supply from a level 1
From your starting level 2, also apply the load formula, substituting payload for bomb load/6500. I have some converted Liberator transports that carry more than C-47s, so the calculation for them would be level 4 + the payload/6500.

I am trying some Liberator trannies from a level 6 field today. We see what happens. What is the payload number for a C-47?

But the Japanese could start taking the Aleutians early when the Frozen Paratroopers descend.

C-47 is the same payload as the Transport Libs - 6000. The Liberator just has 4 engines and extra range so that is why I assume a level 4 AF for starters.
The C-46A Commando carries 10,000 pounds, and flies about four more hexes than the C-47.

It's purely about the troops dropped. If you have enough PBY's to drop enough an adequate number of troops adequately, equipped, prepared, etc...

Confirmed, a Liberator transport will drop paras form a level 6. Now we find out if a C-47 will transport from a level 2

Get some free time by not rearranging the bedding on the bed until you change it. It will help it dry out and kill the dust mites living there.

Explain this concept of changing the bed linens.

When (not if) you remove the sheets and pillow cases from the bed to wash them, then you put another set on. Although it would be actually better if you left it bare to air out. In fact, it would be good once a year to set the mattress and even the box spring outside during the day so the sun can clean it with the UV rays plus airing it out. Putting it outside can end up killing any mold/mildew on it - even if you do not notice it.

The little dust mites living on the bed feed off dead skin cells and use the human sweat as a source of water. Those dust mites can aggravate asthma.

I hope that helps.

Plus, if it takes 5 minutes a day to rearrange the bedding (Mom: "Make your bed!) so that the bedding looks nice, if you do not do that you could save 5 minutes a day. In 6 days that is half an hour. Over a year, that is over one full day.

Putting the mattress outside when it is -30ยบ or colder will also do in the dust mites within half an hour ...
