Just no way at this point in the game that the Chinese units will have the experience or morale to take on 1st line Japanese troops. People seem to get fixated on total AV but you have better experience, guns, more MMG squads and your squads have higher firepower. Not to mention control of the air. Even Indian division have trouble at this stage.

Absolutely. That's why in China your only hope* to stop them is in forest or mountain hexes due to the bonuses. Any other terrain, you have no hope.

My conclusion is that Canoe is mounting some sort of amphibious counterattack into the supply-lines to Chittagong.

I doubt he is moving towards Chittagong itself, but as a safeguard, the Imperial Guards will suspend offensive operations and move back to the base. They should be there in 5 days. We are also starting to construct forts there.

Port Blair or Sabang? Possibly. If he moves there in strenght, say with two divisions, it will be very hard to dislodge him within 2 months since most of my divisions are tied down in India or Singapore. I will have to prepare for this eventuality. KB is ordered to leave Batavia and take up position west of Sumatra. From there they will be able to interdict the allied shipping going either way.

Bettys will remain in Shanghai another day. I need them in the chinese battles right now. But if the invasion fleet continues moving east, they will rebase to Rangoon tomorrow.

Hopefully Canoe will turn around now when he knows he is spotted and having lost one of his covering CVs. Indomitable might not sink, but it should need some serious yard-time.

Worries at Changsha over, very sweet victory there. That will give pause to the Generalisimo about wresting any initiative on the Yangtze.

It seems the allied task force lost heart after the torpedo hit on the Indomitable. Thank you for that, I was in no position whatsoever to handle a serious counterinvasion.

Troops are just about done massing at Singapore. In about a week we will commence the final assault there.

Right now Im moving alot of units into the centpac and the northpac, I am convinced the first counterattacks will land here.
