Turn 10. Mar/Apr 1941. Allied #1. CW. RN. East Med.
The other major focus of the CW naval was the Eastern Med. The CW used their 3 air mission to fly one NAV and two fighter to the 3 sea box. Also they moved in 2 more aircraft carriers supported by 2 battleships and 4 heavy cruiser to the 4 box to supplement the three aircraft carriers and numerous cruisers and battleships left at sea in the lower 3 and 2 sea boxes. The RN elected to initiated combat and added a second NAV air unit to the 1 box. In response the axis flew in two more Italian fighters and naval air units to supplement the one fighter and two naval air units already there.
So both sides were set and ready for battle. Well, the RN was hoping for battle, the axis I don't think were. The allies had a search roll of 5 and the axis an 8. Result: neither side was able to find the other so no battle. Maybe next allied impulse?

The Soviets realizing that the Germans can break their pact at will decide to move the Red Air Force and whatever land forces that can back from the front. Soviet defenses look very weak, especially in the south. Stalin is hoping, against hope, that he'll have two more turns before the Germans invade. In reality, he probably has one barring bad weather.

A tip for the Germans this time.
Remember you can reinforce the north / central front easier than the South.
You not only have Konigsberg where you can place troops - besides Germany - but that is a supply source and so will be Kaunas and Riga once you conquer / liberate these nations.
Pratically they help with the sending forward newly produced troops that could arrive 1-2 turns after the start of Barbarossa without having to rail them (especially if you get down mobile corps) meanwhile in the South you rely on HQ only - and rail movements - and between Lvov and Kiev there is a large hole in terms of "train stations" - which would be only your HQs.
You should also be able to push the Hungarians ahead - they can help at Lvov - unless you plan to send German units at the Carpathians (I usually use Germans upfront and Hungarians remain behind as anti-partisan units though).
Meanwhile you cannot move Hungarians via Czech - you can rail them through and send them to garrison Warsaw / Lodz (Supply / Factory); and another at Krakov / Katowice (The hex in the middle that zocs both resources in Poland).

Italy takes a land and moves the required 4 Italians corps into Iraq for aligning Persia.

Turn 10. Mar/Apr 1941. Axis #4. Japan. Strategic Bombing. Sian, China.
Japan takes a combined and uses one of their air mission for a strategic bombing raid on Sian.
They use their two naval moves to put 2 corps into the South China Sea and 1 corps and 1 division into the China Sea. These units are headed for South and North China, respectively.

It's good to move an Italian unit into Syria together with the Italian HQ (FTC rules) and keep that unit there. If you later collapse Vichy, Syria will become Italian and not Free French as long as you got a unit in there.

The CW beefs up convoy escorts in the 0-box of the North Atlantic. Neither side tries to initiate combat there.
In Cape St. Vincent, the Italian sub unit did try to intercept an unescorted CW transport head to the Gulf of Guinea to load a (Free) Belgium fighter. The intercept attempt, which required a 1, failed. If it had succeeded the CW transport would have ended its turn in Cape St. Vincent and certainly would not have tried to fight through the intercept. But since the Italian sub failed to intercept the CW transport moved through without issue.

In the East Med, the RN does attempt to initiate naval combat. However, their search roll fails, while the Italian's roll manages to find the RN. The Italians isolated the minimum sea box and use the resultant surprise points to avoid combat. The Italians do not wish to do anything that might jeopardize supply to the forces in North Africa and the Middle East.

The CW flies a low probability, but safe, ground strike to disorganize Graziani, and misses. The only thing this ground strike cost the CW was a little oil. So it was worth the shot.

The Chinese also make a no risk, but low probability ground strike against a Japanese stack containing Umezu's HQ unit. This strike also misses. Again, worth the shot.

Italy can also spearhead into Saudi Arabia eventually - with 2 HQ they can link supply and attack Rhyad meanwhile the Iraq CAV seizes the oil rig on the first impulse of war. (Unless Rhyad is left undefended).

I was unable to move the Italian HQ, Graziani into Syria? MWiF wouldn't let me.

Italy aligns Persian and moves 2 of the 4 corps back into Jordan to face a news emerging threat from the CW.
There is no reaction from the USA to Italy aligning Persian.
Italy takes a land action.

The CW drops an Indian corps into Port Sudan south of Egypt. Is the CW planning to try to retake Egypt and the Suez Canal from the South?
