Russian response.

I will attack a few hexes. Trying to build strength and solidify positions. Every turn I build new inf corp .

A new sector a day gets the corp upgrade, whichever seems most threatened.

This week this attack fails. Germans will now be unmovable from this hex.

Here Saratov area. Sort of a standoff. I plan on moving 2nd tank army south of rr and try and get cheap wins versus the Rumanians.

I have a number of tank corp ready to get the Guards bump.

Middle final

CV values seems strong. atm, its not clear how he can punch thru in this area.

German moves. Silly seems to be 1: trying to set up good long term d positions and/or

2: Redeploying for new offensive.(mainly to capture units)

But no panzer ball atm as I see some tanks on front line.

My recon of armor has grown stale. Plus recon crews are pathetic and beaten up.

Not sure why russians would not start using other planes to do recon.

This was a second attack on the hex. obviously the first lost.

I have good units around this area.


A good push around here and to the east might cause general withdrawal by me. Too many clear hexes.

But Silly seems to be moving armor north near Moscow. At least one spotted. Definite FOW atm.

Final southeast Moscow. I leave my best guards corp alone in that one hex North of Moscow.

Is CV80 enough. I am worried now about hexes North of Moscow which are not as strong hexes as below Moscow.

First picture around here in a long time. My attention, atm, is now shifting here.

I also am moving back my best Kalinin Army which had redeployed south.

Impressive fighting back for the low OOB.

My best guard inf corp is defeated. Horrible d cv reduction and this unit has barely been fighting.

Over 81 cv to start in level 3 fort.

Here I had a good defensive stand but my aircorp was decimated.

his fighters are really top notch. I guess he has localized air superiority

Down south. Or what now takes for down south.

open field attack on miserable Romanian. Gee: even they have learned the 'how to retreat without damage thru zoc' skill.

Here a rout. And minimal d casualties.

I guess Stalin's "take no prisoners" order is being fulfilled quite nicely

My first soak off attack was with a cav and inf division.

That first attack did the same amount of damage as this full force attack which caused the retreat.

Unfortunately, I do not have picture of the soak attack to show .

My recon shows maybe one spot. Not here though.

Maybe he can do damage further north.

I recon away. I spot 5 unidentified units on rr just south of my east west line.

If they are tanks he might try and capture this whole elbow of a defensive position.

I build inf corp, and ship in that Kalinan Army that had been south.

He could break thru but I have a little more depth atm.

so I had good intel but results again horrible.

Whole elbow is cut off.
