Congratulations England. A well deserved place in the Finals. [&o] [:)] And lost a match that could have gone either way. [:(]

In a way, England lost on a coin toss. One could argue whether going first, or not, is a real advantage. But, I suspect, that few argue against that being the last to shoot a penalty is under enormous pressure. Especially when the stakes are so high. And when the penalty shooter are facing the huge amount of excited fans.

Anyway. Your team has great potential in the world cup next year. [:)] Unless, of course, the internal English pressure on the team breaks it (perhaps the English press should play it cool?).

For me at least, the events of last Sunday and after, off the pitch put the action on the pitch firmly in the background. Football the world over has issues that need to be addressed - but I don't think these are really football issues and its not something the football authorities can cure.

A big thing has been made of the booing of the anthems now. Why? Its always been a depressing feature of England games. Why not do something earlier? Some of the other stuff that happened has no place being mentioned here. I would like to see UEFA grow a set and tell the FA there will be no more tournaments, no more CL finals or anything prestige in England until they can guarantee that the shocking scenes witnessed last Sunday won't happen again.

What a rubbish end to what was a great festival of football.

Philadelphia set up a municipal court at the stadium to speedily try fans for misbehavior at Eagles games. It was effective...perhaps England (or is it British?) soccer do something similar.

well there are things to look forward to. Will any Scottish clubs still be playing in European competitions by the end of July is always a fun one. And of course the inevitable optimism that flows from Spurs winning all their pre-season matches?

Or not ..

well give Celtic credit, they have taken the goal of being knocked out of Europe before August very seriously.

And, it seems as if Barcelona are effectively bankrupt?

The Tottenham has signed a young and promising left winger from Seville, Brian Gil, a player of the spanish team, very fast and good passer. He is playing in the olympic team right now, but he already had an excellent season in Liga and Eurocup.

I say it because I know there is a lot of spurs here [;)]

Thanks Piteas.

Spurs record of signing 'promising' players is pretty suspect. I hope we haven't ended Mr Gil's career early....

...one has to question how promising he is, if he's any good then why go to Spurs?

Maybe he is just "promising" to go to the Spurs because he has no other future in the sport? [;)]

a load of the traditional buying clubs are in a disastrous financial position. Barcelona are effectively bankrupt, don't think that Real Madrid are much better off, nor are Juventus. In effect its only the petro-clubs in a position to buy and I doubt he would have been a target for either PSG aor Man City. So in that sense Spurs may well have offered a chance for something new

Kane not showing for practice and saying he wants a transfer.

yeah, can't see this ending well, esp given Levy's usual approach to these issues.

while it is traditional to note the early departure of Scottish clubs from European football, think its worth noting that St Johnstone seem to be taking things seriously. While obv Galatasaray are no longer the force they were a few years back, this is a pretty decent result ...

St Johnstone

Eskişehirspor-St Johnstone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfTGovAIKao

St Johnstone came to Eskişehir for a match in 2013, and from the video I see they have very friendly relations. [:)]

In the next match in Scotland both supporters in the same bus to a stadium.

If I was an employer and somebody did now want to show up for work, I would not want to pay them.

If I was an employer looking to hire someone, I would not want to hire someone who did not bother to show up for work at his previous employment.
