I'd like to hear any analysis on the differences we are seeing between Ukraine attacks on Russian ships with drones/missiles and whats going on in the Red Sea right now with the USN shooting down drones/missiles. I know there might be big tech and motivational differences between all sides. If I just look at the Black Sea engagements, I would conclude that the era of the large warship is at an end. If I look at the Red Sea, I would conclude that the era of the large warship has not reached its zenith yet and investing large amounts into antiship drone/missile warfare against large warships is a fool's investment. I'd like to see what people think the key differences are.

Brief, interesting speculation. I don't think they are operational with Ukraine. But who knowns. Might be disinfo to scare the Russians.

Some considerations on the use of Kh-22/32 Kitchen in Ukraine.

For months I did think on any Kitchen has been shoot-down in Ukraine.

This article gets many observation and ideas, but some are not clear or definitive. Perhaps all the Kitchen employed are those converted to Kh-32, flying at 44.000 meters (opposite to 27.000 meters the Kh-22), and are out of the flying envelope of most of the defensive missiles (less perhaps PAC-3 MSE). Other highlight in the article is probably any Kh-47 Kynzal has been shot-down.

I have seen the rumblings on twitter/X in reference to this and this article seems to be the main source. Though the purge thing has been building from multiple sources for some time now.

Speculation using CMO on the take down of Russian AEW assets over the Black Sea.

https://twitter.com/chrisschmitz/status ... 5055097087

CMO has shown up in a couple news article about the shoot down of an A-50 and forced landing of an IL-22.

Reportedly the tail of the IL-22 after landing, which weapon may cause this damage?

Regarding the A-50, an antecedent was the 1969 EC-121 shootdown, Status-6 commented no other AEW-C/AWACS aircraft was shot down since then, is this true?

The author Tom Cooper (Sarcastosaurus) has posted an ambush theory for the attack on the russian aircrafts, also commenting on their characteristics, AEW and AWACS.

He includes an anti-semitic comment, so I will not post the link.

nteresting article of an author I read few weeks ago. Sometimes slightly anti-Western comments, but interesting reads:

Thanks for the link.

Though I would argue over lesson 7, Houthi leadership has indeed something important to lose once they are considered a terrorist group.

A new paper has been released by the Mitchell Institute (https://mitchellaerospacepower.org/) analysing what types of CCA could be useful against the PRC in a Taiwan type scenario.
