That's just sad. Chicago, Minneapolis and Phoenix get their own CAs/CLs. Even Boise, Honolulu and Helena do OK with some pretty sweet CLs. Poor Fort Worth only gets a crummy xAKL?

80 operational B-24D/D1, Liberator II and B-17 at Cagayan on Mindanao to drop supplies at Clark. C-47's at Cebu and Butuan on Mindanao. They are a lot more fragile of course.

While that may help stem the hemorrhage of supplies from Clark, are there any JJ airfields within range that could benefit from a visit of 80 B-24D/D1s? It may help take some of the pressure off of Bataan CAP.

Yes, we have hit Manila few times and they have responded by reducing the bombers there. I think it is just fighters and antique dive bombers now. The medium bombers are probably coming from Takao.

If you stop your retreat movement, your losses will be less. At least only retreat those most beat up. Retreat those in "Reserve" mode, leave the others on combat mode and let them stay.

Yes, I figured that is what did it. If the supply is getting trough I will stop the stronger units.

You've missed some of the biggest bars and dance halls (by square footage) anywhere in the world. I've had some pretty good steaks there too.

USS Dallas, Clemson class DD (named after the man not the town)

USS Dallas, CA, cancelled in 1946

USS Dallas, Los Angeles Class, SSN..may still be in service, not sure.

USS Houston, check, CA sunk at the battle of the Sunda Strait. Reportedly a favorite of FDR who sent her to Manila to get sunk and induce the American public to call for war. Turns out that wasn't really necessary

USS Houston, CL , 1942..not sure what happened to her.

USS Houston, SSN..not sure what happened

USS Amarillo....hmmmm

So, I am touring Tulane Medical Center for a possible residency position. The faculty guy was super animated...funny guy...we finish touring the ICU and wards...and he says.."HEY, you guy want to see the bayou?"

We are from all over the country so everyone is super excited. We get on the elevator and I am surprised when he pushes the UP button. We get off on the top floor and walk over to the windows and he proclaims.."THERE IT IS..THE BAYOU!"

It's a f****** concrete drainage channel. No water, No gators. It looks like the LA "River". Baaahstard

I'm guessing this was back in WWII(c) timeframe? Aren't you a little [how to say...] professionally experienced to be thinking about residencies now?

Minneapolis is not a capitol, neither is Duluth nor Chicago.

I have been to Copperas Cove, Killean, and points in between. [:@]

So I get this roofing proposal from a contractor. There are two figures which differ by $5000...one is "cash"[:D]

I call the guy. He doesn't mean no financing he means rectangular pieces of high quality paper with pictures of dead presidents. Presumably Benjamins. WTF? Where did he think I am going to get 450 pictures of Franklin? I got my checking account closed down by B of A for two weeks just for transferring money into my savings account.

The second guy wants to sell me a Corning thing warranted for 50 years. [X(] Sheet, I would rather it falls apart about 3 years after I sell it.

Hey, Walloc the Young! What's up. My brother did a Ancestry DNA test and we are like 50% "Danish" Turns out I am related to Gorm the Old. Imagine the embarrassment. [:D]

And what's up with "The Rain"? It's totally racist. The Swedes are portrayed as an inferior race.

This is like a "back in 'ought 7" story my grandfather used to tell. He meant 1907, of course.

Speaking of that. My oldest daughter just had another baby 2 d ago. They will let me visit if I get a COVID test first. Robert Cap Mandrake.

I had my roof there done by Hoyt Roofing, based in Orange. They were simply fantastic. If it's not too late check with them before you pick someone. Family owned business.
