Here's the aircraft situation. I think it safe to say that I can trade losses with the Axis air force for some time yet.

Here's what the tank situation is right now. Maybe it's time for another major push by the Soviets.

Here's what it looks like with the guns / howitzers : Hey Karri: how about comparable figures for what the Axis has? Or is that a state secret?

I hadn't noticed the P-51's before - 15/turn (I guess that's hte doubled rate) from T1??  Hell P-51's weren't made until April 41, and hte first arrived in England in October, hte first unit to be equiped with them was 26 Sqn in Feb 42, and the 1st combat sortie wsan't until May of that year.

So how come the Sov's get them earlier is a miracle....especially since the Sov's only got about 10 early models through lend-lease!![&o][&o]

not a TOAW3 error, but the design with the thought Sweeds or whatever triggered them.. turks entering on this one.. causes US intervention and those groups, b17 two p51 some navy dive bombers and I think a b25 or b26 group are fun to have as the reds! If the red saves his air in 41.. essentially by not using it, and then has an air force in the winter .. BOY does he get an advantage over the axis.. due to the numbers of planes and a HUGE air penelty aganist the germans the fisrt winter... just a thought for you future fite fans!

During the first dozen game turns or so I pulled the Soviet air force back to Moscow to 'save' them and they didn't see any action at all until approx turn 15 or so. Then I set them on ignore losses and set them free. Losses were horrific at the beginning but slowly but surely the reds gained air superiority.

Karri and I are thinking that the Reds have air supremacy now and I intend to use it to pummel his tanks and arty and help push the front line toward Berlin. Maybe even get some kind of surround going. We'll see.

Well look at the notes, the reds get a shock bonus and the Germans get a shock negative.. I dsaved all my planes till the December counter attack, then he really had it comming, even with planes grounded due to piss poor quality... you have so many, I think at one point I had over 4000 of one type of Red plane sitting at teh factories waiting to be deployed.. So, are you taking hte time now to hit the Axis air force via Air base attacks?

Air base attacks will really screw with the enemy.. when you can do it.. good luck!

Soviet Air shock should ramp up year by year I think - 85 for 41, 90 for 42, 95 for 43, 100 thereafter.

The US airforce should be P-40's and P-39's in 1941 - not P-51's - perhaps they should be withdrawn/replaced in 43 & 44 to upgrade to latertypes?

My reference was the winter shock notes.. I do agree re the 51's kinda silly seeing them before 43

I changed the US and Brit intervention forces to P-40's and Spits (earlies) with a zero count for the P-51's. Changed the production start date for the P-51's to turn 173 (just a guess).

That will come after I fend off all the Summer '42 Axis attacks. I want to hold on to what I got you see.

I didn't know he gets a shock effect. Whoa. Maybe I'd better reconsider.

I think the things you are looking at is a massive German attack in the summer... good that you held lenn and other cities.. BUT in the winter 42 43 you get a supply boost and a shock boost... so, do not get discuoraged in 42. hold Moscow!
