Wolf, ive tried to run Tracker with RHSMRAO and it didnt work.
What didn't work about it? If we see what could be broken, we could try to fix it.

Floyd, Damian,
you're amazing, guys ! Since I bought WitP nearly a year ago, I've had to manually fill excell files with the info I wished to keep (and I like to keep everything or close), and it sometimes (often!) took longer than giving the orders. You're really saving up a lot of fun-time for all of us gamers. Even more so with the ships sunk feature ! That's one whole file to drop, yeah ![&o] And LCU history is another ![&o] And the upcoming pilot data are a whole new file I didn't even dare trying ![&o][&o][&o]
So, I thank you many times ![:)]
You're quite welcome. I'd like to say it's been pure programming enjoyment, but well, debugging and tedious duplication of code make it not the pleasure it's cracked up to be...
A few suggestions yet (constructive praise is better than useless praise, isn't it ?) : in the Ship classes data set, would it be possible to get a list of every current, sunk and building/arriving ship of a given class ? Currently it's possible by looking first in the Ship classes, then in the Ships data sets, but it takes time and jumping around from view to view.
In the same panel, a handful filters would be useful : by side and by type for example, to ease the comparrisons. A few rows, maybe in a separate tag, with the number in the class current, number sunk, number due to upgrade, number to be built. This might be useful for fleet/TF planning.
The Summary panel has a Naval tab (well, that's the only tab right now), which summarizes the active ship classes. That's a start.
Regarding as well ships, aircrafts and LCUs : in the various panels where data is given about the devices held by a unit/ship/aircraft, would it slow down the program too much if more data (effect, penetration, range, date for next upgrade, number in pool, etc) were shown ?
I'm not a programmer, and my knowledge of computers is barely enough to understand very basic programming, so disregard this suggestion if it's too difficult and/or impossible to implement.[;)]
I'll look into that.
Bottom line : I've been using an earlier version of WitPTracker for several weeks/months now, without any problem noticed (at least when I didn't forget to copy/paste the save file in the WitPTracker directory...). I'll upgrade to 1.2 tonight, but I wanted to let you know that some people suffer no bug (and I'm operating under Vista). Keep up the good work.

Have you tried deleting everything and installing it again? I did, and for now it seems work (RHSCVO. It would be even beter if some good souls would make region file [8|]
I would, but I don't know how....

Yes, that's where I started too. I regularly copy/paste the numbers on an excel file, and it helps to keep an eye on the numbers "to be found" when browsing through the other pages of the database.
I'll look into that.
Great ![:)]

Pardon the question but what is RHSMRAO.
Can't remember what the M stands for, but I believe it's one of the later additions and obviously one with the Russian Active Option (RAO).
Might not be listed in the RHS manual, but I'm sure you'll find details in the scenario sub forum.
PS: RHSCVO worked for me as well.

I would, but I don't know how....
Use the base screen to transfer bases to different regions (region column). You can create a new region by going File/Regions and you'll get tthe little window.
You need to save it or you'll lose it with any new install so File/Export region to the region mapping folder. You can import them as well.

Yeah, i figured it out, but thanks anyway, Chris. I'm trying to rework that CHS region file that comes with the tracker.

If you go to the first page of my AAR I give a bit of a mini-tutorial on how to do it ...
tm.asp?m=1822230
I'd be careful using another mod's clusters to base your mod ... It may cause some problems, I'd rather you start from the beginning and make your own. I know it is a hassle, but this is the best way to stop any unexpected problems ...
If you complete it, send it back to us (email) and we can include it for others to use ... Also with what map you are using...(there are 3 different maps, hence three different cluster that could be made)
Sorry I haven't got around to doing this cluster...
[edit] but I will have a look at RHS as soon as I can...

Seems I was a bitt to quick mentioning that it works with RHSCVO. It works pretty much but I found some inconsistencies.
For example in menu air production, column Avail yy/mm shows 39/1 for the Corsair I. I checked in WitP itself, the availibility here is far later (cant remember exact date). The amount of unrepaired factories and the factory location are ok though.
So I did a fresh install of the tracker and found out there is an error message at the beginning. Eventually this messes something up, but as tracker lives out of a save file and not the scenario data I'm puzzled how I could try to repair that. The error message is:

Thanks Mistmatz,
the error should not stop the program working, but Floyd will have to look at changing the code for that shipClass ...
I am looking at CVO 7.7975 now, and I see that the Corsair has indeed the wrong date (shows 0/0)... I've checked it out it seems that the dates are wrong from the 76th entry (RN Carrier Aircraft) in the database editor. I'll see if I can fix that somehow and get it to Floyd before the next update.
I was going to do a quick cluster file for map level 7, if I can ... I'm hoping it will work with all the Map lvl 7 mods...

Ok just used the RHSEEO cluster file which comes with Tracker and apart from 2 small errors which you can fix, this seems to be an ok template to start out with ... (for Lvl 7 maps at least)

I did that cluster, so if there are only two errors, thats not bad for a non-union worker that gets lousy pay. [:D]

Not your errors Michael, the errors are about different Uppercase letters for 2 bases ... I'll give you 100% of what I get for doing this ... [:D]

I have it almost done, started from scratch last nigh. Just need to tweak it a bit.
Bako can be put in Formosa region, right? It has HCF to the island, so resources should flow freely?

Found the problem and have sent the code changes, hopefully this will now be fixed ... sloppy programming on my part again ... lucky I'm NOT doing it for $$[;)]
BBW - good to see your perseverance ... enjoy your game and let us know if there are any other issues.

I had some wierd kind of glitch with my monitor Friday night. I have a dual-boot OS with XP pro on one partition and Vista Ultimate on the other. I do most of my work in XP pro where War in the Pacific and the Tracker are installed. I wanted to play a directX 10 game Friday night so I rebooted into Vista and for some reason it didn't like my monitor anymore. It was a 22" LCD with a native resolution of 1650x1080. The resolution wouldn't go any higher than 1024x768 so I did some trouble shooting. I tried reinstalling the drivers for the monitor and the GPU. I then thought about using system restore. Beware of using this with a dual OS system. Vista only keeps a small amount of restore points and according to the online documentation if you have XP on the same system it will in a sense overwrite them. When I tried to install the drivers, the manufacturer's installation program automatically installed them onto the XP partition. I contacted Viewsonic Saturday morning only to get a run-around. Finally, I was told that they don't support a dual OS.
What does this have to do with Tracker you might be wondering? As a last ditch effort to fix this problem I restored the PC to a restore point a week prior when I knew the monitor worked in Vista, but I did it in XP because I didn't have a restore point that was more than a few hours old in Vista. That didn't fix the problem. I had to replace the monitor with a different brand. When I loaded my new turn into the tracker the system restore seemed to have lost all the turns I had processed in the past week. I don't know if there is a way for you guys to program this so the files aren't restored. I just started over with my tracking from my current turn. It isn't a big deal but I wanted others to be aware that they need to back up their tracker files to external media before the do a system restore.
