OK, so there's some minor, minor issues with the early model E-2 aircraft. Everything seems to work OK now, so this can go on the back burner.
The
E-2B:
Currently it has the AN/APS-120, when in reality it had the AN/APS-96 (legacy from the A) with improved computing power/reliability. This is important, because the AN/APS-120 has surface search capability that was not present on the E-2B. In game, the AN/APS-120 is broken and does not have the surface search ability.
The
E-2C:
The E-2C needs 2 entries, one dated 1972, the other 1977. The existing entry (1768) E-2C Hawkeye Basic, 1974 should be re-dated to 1977
New Entry:
E-2C Hawkeye Basic, 1972
Replace AN/APS-125 with AN/APS-120. The AN/APS-120 should have surface search capability as well, but should maintain the early 1970s tech generation.
Add AN/ALQ-61 ELINT (from E-2B, no evidence of it being removed)

Thanks Sirius!
If at all possible, could the A-32A lansen (both
#2742 and
#742) get their bombs? I ofcourse don't want every payload, thats ludacris but it would be nice to have the 8x 120 kg bombs, 4x 250 kg bombs and 2x 600 kg bomb OR the 2x 1000 lb bomb payloads. Also as you can see the current rocket payloads doesn't make sense either. No low caliber rockets are used and the 135 mm rockets should be 16 instead of 12 and designation m/56 instead of m/70. Also the A 32A without the radar should not be able to fire the RB 04E since it would have no way to guide it and it should have 2 RB 04E's instead of 3. "Balk GV, GH; heavy pylon for the RB04C/D ASM could only be mounted on L4 and R4. H and V meaning Left(Vänster) or Right(Höger) version of the pylon"
Making a mission with heavy use of them thats why i am asking.
If you're too busy, no worries.

Small name correction i noticed while adding pictures to CWDB,
#737 should be named A 29B. (J 29B was redesignated as A 29B when serving with attack units.)
Cheers, Skjold.

Hi guys,
I've had a mountain of requests for WW2 Platforms which I am slowly adding and modifying platforms to the DB, be advised Command is not geared up for WW2 Conflicts etc lack of comms, fog of war , dog fighting etc so heres your warning.

Hi Sirius again, thanks for updating! Sorry for not including it in the A 32A lansen post above but i literally just got my hands on this book.
Would be nice to have the RB 04C on the A 32A Lansen and the RB 04D on the AJ 37 / SH 37 Viggen. The Lansen currently carries the RB 04E which exclusivly was a AJ 37 / SH 37 Viggen armament.
The differences are in command terms better range (D and E versions) a different radar guidance system (C and D uses CW radar, E uses an monopulse radar with frequensy hopping techn. The anti-jamming and accuracy was greatly increased on the E variant.
RB 04C (1962) First ever? operational anti-ship missile in the western world. CW radar guidance. Shorter range then D/E (Not sure how much shorter, however shouldn't be any drastic change as the C was deemed long range. 15 nm perhaps?) The only one that served on A 32A Lansen.
RB 04D (1968) Improved engine for longer range (same range as E). Used on AJ 37 and SH 37.
RB 04E (1977) The one we already have in-game. Used on AJ 37 and SH 37.

When creating scenario about the Korean War I've found out that there is no Commercial B377, arguably one of the most beautiful planes ever made. Also, IIRC the planes that Israel had were not the military Stratofreighters but converted Stratocruisers.
There were some differences between B377 and C-97, such as the latter had heavier maximum takeoff weight and longer range.

Hello
it looks like the EM Ognevoy (#500) has some fault and the Ognevoy has two class the Ognevoy itself project 30 while the follow on ships were Project 30K
the main gun is the B-2LM a variant of B-13 coastal gun not the 130mm/45 obr 1933
specs main gun:

Spotted a possible error on the AO 22 Cimarron (DB #667). The ship is listed as having open parking for 24 large aircraft. Is that correct? Thanks.

RF-4B(USMC) and E-2B(USN) was used in 1984~1985. So that have to add on DB 3000, and How does that add F-14 81' loadout for Cold War DB?
Wrong DB string. Please wait until other re-opens.

Just did the calculations for GROWLER's fuel bunkers: 90,000 gallons of diesel at 7.49 lb/gallon is about 300.9375 long tons.
I also found some more technical terms on the fuel bunkers -- the term is either
"Fuel Ballast Tanks" (WWII)
http://maritime.org/doc/fleetsub/chap4.htm
which gives the fuel capacity for USS Perch (SS-313) a Balao class submarine as:
Normal fuel oil tank group:
1. NFOT No. 1 11,401 gallons
2. NFOT No. 2 13,122 gallons
3. NFOT No. 6 15,201 gallons
4. NFOT No. 7 10,054 gallons
5. Collecting tank 2,993 gallons
6. Expansion tank 2,993 gallons
Clean fuel oil tank group:
1. CFOT No. 1 611 gallons
2. CFOT No. 2 618 gallons
Fuel Ballast Tanks
1. Fuel ballast tanks Nos. 3A and 3B 19,196 gallons
2. Fuel ballast tanks Nos. 4A and 4B 24,089 gallons
3. Fuel ballast tanks Nos. 5A and 5B 19,458 gallons
--------------
or
"Compensated fuel ballast tanks" (Modern).
http://water.epa.gov/lawsregs/lawsguida ... nsated.pdf
The Navy is the only branch of the Armed Forces whose vessels utilize compensated fuel
ballast systems. Compensated fuel ballast systems are used only on CG 47 Class cruisers; DD
963 Class, DDG 993 Class, and DDG 51 Class destroyers; and all non-conventional submarine
classes
So it does look like the USN continued use of fuel ballast tanks post-war.
The idea is that as the ship or submarine leaves port; they run exclusively off the fuel ballast tanks; to empty them first (and deal with any possible water contamination of fuel by having it at the beginning of the voyage); in order to have them full of sea water when in the combat zone (or patrol zone).
Hate to dig this back up, but I'm playing with the Growler SSG again (ID Sub #47) and it's still got 60-tons of fuel bunkerage in the latest CWDB. At full speed on the surface (12 knots) that only gives me about 40 hours of endurance.

Hi .Sirius,
The “Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw” type helicopters in the CWDB are too big. This precludes them from being loaded onto some ships that actually used them, such as the HMCS Bonaventure. Please change from “Large Aircraft” to “Medium Aircraft”.
FWIW, the dimensions listed in the DB are also wrong. Actual aircraft length is 12.92 m with a 16.16 m rotor diameter. Sub types with these issues include the HH-19G, SH-19A,B,C,D, UH-19A thru F and the HO4S-2 and -3 as used by multiple countries. The near identical Westland Whirlwind used by the UK is already listed as a “Medium Aircraft”, so it is fine.
Thanks for the hard work on the CWDB!
