In the North African desert, the US Sherman tanks, despite being out of supply and disorganized, are able to hold off an infantry attack.

However at Novosibirsk, a risky quick assault succeeds. The USSR is conquered.

And what does it look like when the Soviet Union turns grey?
Well, it looks like this. The new Soviet home country is Mongolia. They have one Soviet INF that was just on the other side of the border and the Mongol CAV unit. It won't take much for the Japanese or the Germans to remove Mongolia from the scene. The only other surviving Soviet units are two submarines that were forced to rebase from the Japanese Sea to Dutch Harbor. Even now the US Admirals are wondering what to do with these rather useless submarines.

So this brings this AAR to an end. With the USSR conquered and Japan still relatively strong there seems no way for the Allies to come back. I will be continuing the game to see if the Axis can conquer Spain, take Gibraltar and get the Italian and German fleets together to then invade the UK. If anyone's interested in seeing this please let me know. I can tell you that the Sep/Oct 44 turn was very bloody with an enormous naval battle in the Solomons during which both sides lost many carriers. Anyway, for those that have been watching, thanks for your interest.
Here's global control in dark grey (some editing in photoshop) as of the start of Sep/Oct 1944:

I found this to be a great and entertaining read for an AAR. Thanks for doing it!
