I have to admit, as much as I like playing WitP, I keep coming back to this game. Maybe it's the relative lack of forces so that each loss is important or the small playing area that compresses the action, but this game feels more intense than WitP.

Im too stupid with computers to even understand mods, let alone use em!`

His CVs go east!!!
HAY!
The reduction of rabual continues -only 15 zeros today vs 19 corsairs and 21 P38, 33 liberators
3 zeros lost in the air
more planes gone on the ground
His CVs launch huge raids at a helpless DD at kavieg
Glug
Chitose is abandoned
glug
the convoy has unloaded in the admiralties[:'(]

Just a massive co ordinated strike on rabual today, lost 5 planes today
His ships seem to be retiring
Not enough troops on kavieg to kick me off though
Its one base too far

Thunderstorms everywhere
and absolutely no action
Wobbly and I have been exchanging a fair bit of mail over the game.
he tells me he is suffering terribly from lack of supplies, transports and troops
So, Allied players.
Every AP is Gold
His Bombing campaign is only a fraction of what it can be -because he cannot keep the bases supplied with bombs!
In this scenerio (19) I get masses of troops -and he failed mostly to stop them getting established
Only for the fact I have 2 full divisions withered on the vine at Lunga and Milne bay has allowed him to win what he has.
IF i was to redo this game, my main troop concentrations would have been at Lea, and rabual
never mind
yes -against WITP -this I think is actuallt the superior game -superior in historical feel, tension, and fun.
If only they had simply just expanded this -AND KEPT THE A TO A ROUTINES!!![&o][&o][&o][&o]
Anyway, thanks for the comments
This could get a bit boring for a while -all I have left is 1 CA, 1cl, 4 DD and the AI keeps sending a million APs -which I keep sending back!

I plotted exactly 1 order for tomorrow![8|]

Well sorry guys -absolutely nothing happened that turn.
Lots of recon, a gazzillion ships sighted at his various bases -but thunderstorms kept everything grounded
I got a convoy into wewak -that was good.
have almost reached the end of the reinforcement table for troops[:'(]

Well amazing what 3 days of no fly weather can do
The only base on map today functional is rabual
And the base is repaired enough to launch!
3 sallies miss the chicago -2 die to flak
10 val, 3 sally get to launch
A brazen convoy just south of rabual gets it
1 AK, 1 AP will sink[:'(]
Now to run away -I get more planes out of rabual -Im sure the revenge will be swift and terrible[8|][8|]
Still waiting for more ships[:'(]

As expected, the bombers return to rabual in masive force today
70 B17 -104 hits
37 lib -58 hits
44 mitchell, 12 P40e, 11 spits meet 50 tony over Lea
64th sentai bugs out[:@], 5 tony lost, 4 enemy shot down
19 Lib bomb Kavieg -which remains stalemated
I move the tonies to wewak, and the troops at rabual ask the airforce to please leave -as they only invite more bombing
Rabual finally goes into the red supply wise.............

I have some 15 ss -all will gather at woodlark tomorrow[;)] -lots of LCVPs there.

A ss of mine slots a troop ship near kavieg
Nice
rabual pounded
I deploy nearly ten SS on the approaches to Lea
And another convoy is about to arrive to kavieg
Time to deal with it! -well we can dream[8|]

A great day for the empire today
kavieg is pounded.
16 Lillies strafe a CL and some DDs at kavieg -the Flak is murder.
Then Truk launches a big strike
42 betties, 9 nells escorted by 34 zeros -and no CAP!!!!
BB Penny -3 torps -and she is badly hurt!
BB nevada -2 torps, and she might even sink!
DMS hamilton will sink!
Ak Diomed -so often attacked and missed -is hit too
And a small AP is also slotted
16 bombers were lost in the attack
Still -a good result!
We fight on!

he absolutely pounds Kavieg today -if it flies it hits the place
several betties attack -but miss a DD there
The enemy attacks , and the island falls -the poor troops retreating to a dot to the south
They are going to starve to death there for sure.
In a way feel like Im playing as a Human AI -pretty passive.

he throws the remaining troops out of kavieg
Well the isolation of rabual is almost complete
Admiralties have a few troops though.
Did a quick check - 924 a/c at Truk!
and japan releases today the Mushia, 3 DDs.
Wow!
I think the game is taunting me.
How will I deploy this mighty fleet?[:'(]

My ss begin to come back into play -been hoarding em most of the game -now while he is stretched for escorts, out they come.
I-122 is sunk -sinks an AK
I -157 sinks a dd
gets away
Little bombing today
I send a fast task force - my entire navy- of 1CA, 1cl, 5 dd to the Admiralties -see if I can set up a tokyo express or not.
risky, but my starving troops!
Wish he would go for Truk[:'(][8|]

A new month
4 to go!
ss 157 dodges escorts of woodlark
71 B17 hit rabual
Lunga hit
Enemy transport convoys all over the map
My task force runs south towards the admiralties in foul weather.
A strike on kavieg is so tempting........
The war grinds on.
