I got a bit interested in WitP couple months ago, and read a few AARs since then. I must say that I never truly liked narrative AARs, but seeing this one with more than 5000 posts, I've got interested. Since it was Friday evening and I was bored, I decided to read a few pages. And guess what, it's 0:30 AM Tuesday here, and I'm finally done with this magnificient stuff. Spent almost all my free time during last three days reading the adventures of Hibiki, and if I ever buy and play WitP it will be because of this outstanding tale of struggle of the little ship and its crew, surviving battle after battle, despite being plug in any barrel. Thank you so much, Cuttlefish, for those wonderful hours that I spent reading this story, thanks to you this was by far my best weekend this year.

Ishii was KIA at some point during the war, but I don't know the circumstances or the date. In any event, he was posthumously promoted Captain.

Bump. To those who have never read this AAR, it is perhaps the finest that has been written and possibly the finest that will ever be written. That is not to say we shouldn't all aspire to achieve something like this.

Has any one heard from Cuttlefish? I know he referenced printing the story when it concluded, but I haven't found anything since the. My wife and I would like a physical copy if that plan ever did go forward.
