What do we know (If anything) about the rumored "Sonic weapons" used in Venezuela ?
I find the idea more frightening than nuclear weapons if they have a fairly large radius of effect.

While any new tech brings some uneasiness about deployment, saying its more unsettling than nukes seems a little hyperbolic. A potential non-lethal disabling weapon vs a weapon that can kill thousands and render square miles uninhabitable seems a little crazy.

Because non-lethal can be used on any group for any reason.
Just my opinion.

Possibly LRAD, but it sounds like it was effective over a wider area.
I've seen reports (Just reports), of it taking down air defenses as well. Perhaps just the people manning them ?
From a game perspective, a weapon like this would end a ground battle before it started if it had a wide enough effective radius.
Guess we will have to wait and see if it is used again or more info comes out.

Again, its different. Ask any sane person if they would rather be shot with a bullet of taken down temporarily by this device. Wide area or not.

btw, a MG or cannon has the same indiscriminate capability. And they are permanent.
