Here's some of the Soviet losses and the production figures for turn 90:

Hopefully, turn 90 is the last turn of the mud season and we can start the war again on turn 91. Not much happened lately, I've been moving units around, digging troops in deeper, etc. I think I'm ready for the German summer '42 assaults. I think. Karri, how hurting are you? Heck on turn 93 you get 1 pzd and 5 inf divs, a super attack force. If you get a chance it would be nice to see some of your losses, not all. And we can keep a secret, where are you going to attack?

Well, I'm going on a vacation and will be off the internet starting tomorrow so the losses, etc. need to wait after that. Heavy rifle squads stand at about 49 000 lost and 42 000 assigned, as normal I have none as replacements. Lot's of artillery in replacement poll, same with armored cars, tanks I don't have that many and Luftwaffe seems to have disappeared.

Now since Larry withdrew quite a lot, I have some problem deciding where to attack...and the supply problems worry me a lot, I don't want to get hit by a counter-offensive.

Let's just say Leningrad and Moscow are both my targets, but when, where and how hard I strike remains to be seen.

What's happening down at Astrakhan on the Caspian sea??  It seems to have been surrounded for quiet a while now....

I haven't decided whether or not to attack the Germans there....let sleeping dogs lay is my stance I guess.

Astrkhan has a supplu source and I don't feel like committing more troops there to break the stalemate.

Doesn't it seem wrong that Astrakhan could be surrounded and hold out for so long? I don't think any city could hold out indefinately.

Aye, but those ports also weren't being resupplied by sea, so the fact that they were ports makes no differance. They were just well stocked.

I think Karri is not attacking it because it is supplied and the losses outway the gains. Attacking any of the 'hold out' cities would use up the stocks quickly. Cherbourg was needed by the Allies so they attacked and the fortress was overcome because it couldn't resupply. Leningrad didn't fall because it still had a supply link over Lake Ladoga.
