it turns out now that it was very good to send my surface combat TFs into Lautern as they´ve forced out a couple of enemy TFs and two of them ended North West of Lautern last turn. This means they were still in range of my Betties (I´ve kept them at only 8 hexes which means one hex further than Koepang is away from Kendari). Miller told me he lost any joy of taking Koepang with the massacre of his ships already. Well, I would have preferred to hold Koepang and sink none of the ships.
In the end he really lost a lot of his APs and IMO he shouldn´t have used any APs in the landings as he needs his APs to ferry troops from the West Coast to Australia and he can use AKs for his invasions. And he used once again far too few ships for his landing. Would he have had three times more ships, he would have been away with them after one day or two, not staying in range with them for several days...
But that´s not really counting, 40 ships or so lost for taking Koepang is a good trade IMO...

finally, a little morale boost for the high command of the Japanese. While the Navy is blamed for not being able to defend Timor against the Allied counterattack, the Army shows that they still are the ruling party on the continent with finally taking Yenen in North China. We will now follow the retreating Chinese troops to the bases North of Sian and hope to thake those three bases there soon... then it´s time to kill the defending troops of Sian...

We have spotted Martlets and Seafires flying Cap over Wyndham and we got recon about CVs being in port. There´s no doubt I guess that there are two or three British carriers disbanded in the level 4 port of Wyndham with nearly no Cap over the base. Nearly no Cap is something like 50 fighters. Seems very careless to me, or Miller feels absolutely safe it seems. He also didn´t keep up the constant bombing of Lautern and so our base is ready for 200 ac to be moved in and strike tomorrow.
