a small push by Germans ( to draw off Russian troops?) .

a German unit will get cut off

Tambov industry will be evacuated.

If you look at map you see my worry about a German movement south just west of Tambov.

I have nothing in the way

Lineup for major 4 sided attack on the north bulge flank

The question is now whose will win the race. Russians attacking south or Germans attacking trying to linkup

a very close loss on follow on attack

Since the German tanks headed east, I am now able to use the Oka defense line Guard cav units to attack the southern bulge face.

I should have enough mp to reverse direction and reman strong Oka line at the end of the turn.

I then sneak units just past the SS division west of Tambov and rescue my surrounded troops.

Nice retreat direction.

Now I study how I can cut of this German attack mass

I send in good Guard tank corp in order to cause the supply break.


Very risky as it will be slug fest to save them next turn. But cutting off all those German tanks is toooo juicy

I launch another attack on southern bulge face.

I then move 49Th army to Ryazan area. I fortify as best I can north of the german cut off units.

I don't think he can do any major damage except relieve his troops and head south to Tambov

Final Tula area. Oka line seems ok just south of Moscow.
