Congrats Hoepner. From the description it seems like we share the same game style. Force concentration all the way [;)]

Well, there's little to be happy about. this one was the most ecxiting match i've ever played and i really hoped it could last for at least another year. Now that it's over i really feel orphan[:(]

Terminus, MC is a very good player and a wonderfull person( for what i know about). He could not have vanished in a puff.

Hi,

I feel that it really takes alot of effort to be a good japanese player, much more than an allied player. So I was suprised mc3744 resigned.[&:] Pethaps somebody can take over the game and carry on.

Cheers!

That's sad to hear Hoepner..been a great AAR!

Would it be impossible to sit down and discuss house rules and continue the game?
Sounds like a case of too little communication since you've played each other for two years. MC
should now what to expect after the first one [&:]

Well, anyway - hope you get another AAR going soon [8D]

Do not know...he proposed me a august 42 campaign...with me as Japs...
I do not like anything that isn't scen.15
But playing again as Japan versus MC would be the 3rd time in a row....too much probably. It will be impossible for me to discover 2 different stragies in 2 different games and surprise the same person. He knows me too well by now.
And also i do not like to re-play so soon the first months of war as Japan....
No, i'd like to give it a try as the allies this time...[:o]

I think it's definetly time for you to give the Allies a try General [:)]

Can certainly understand your frustration! A WitP long campaign becomes sacred after spending
thousands of hours on it. Just ask me.... Personally I hate doing things over - the first game is a
unique experience for me.

I agree, starting in August 42 as Japan would be gross. A one way ticket to he11 that takes away
the opportunity to have some serious fun and shape the course of the war. If anything you should
start before Midway.

Here is a taster from my Allied scen 15 game against Mike! Lots of fun - Mike has invaded SW India,
New Caledonia and now Perth!!!! I've counter invaded New Caledonia and the battle is really fierce by mid 42.
More than 250 ac were destroyed during this turn!

Congratulations on a well deserved victory.

I do think you beat him fair and square even if the score was not 4 to 1.

Thanks again for putting the time into the AAR, it is one of the few I follow religiously.

Congratulations

Thank you for your time spent on the AAR. I was reading both sides- a few I made time for. Your victory will be a constant reminder to those Allied Fonboys of their vulnerability. Early opponent witrhdrawal is the main reason I don't play PBEM with someone on this forum, I just play friends I know for years and had many face-to-face cardboard battles. Your victory isn't compensate for the continuing of the campaign. Are you playing anyone else in a different game at the moment?

Again thanks, congratulations, and good luck in your next adventures.

Thanks from me also on a very interesting AAR.

Now a question if I may: Having played on it for a while now - any (good/bad) comments about the map?

I do not think i deserve all these awesome words...but i really appreaciate seeing that people have enjoyed so much reading my horrible english[:D]

Andrew: The map is just fantastic. A complete new game imho!
The problem with australia was indeed a big problem and i suggest to take a look at that base in the northern part of China which is very far from everything....

For the rest....due with the shock attack river crossing rule...i'd say: take a deep look at the rivers, especially in China and Burma. They can really change the balance.

Yes, ok,...just gotta breath a bit[;)]

when a match like this one finishes it's like when your girlfriend, after 10 years of relationships, tells you that she doesn't love u anymore and she wants to break up. You get first shocked, then pissed, then become sad and gray.....then you start to breath again....ok, now i'm still in the sadness phase[:D]
give me some days to brainstorm a bit. Then i'll get back.
It's a promise![8D]

It's a sunny morning here in northern Italy.
After 7 days of costant rain and freezing wind, this morning i woke up with a warm blue sky.
I opened my mail and found a letter. He came back to me[:D].
We're back guys! He cannot live without me!!![;)]

Few new house rules...but nothing special.
1- 1300 assault points Australian garrison requirement
2- expeditionary chinese HQ attached units need PPs to get to burma.

Feels so good[:'(][:'(]

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 08/01/42

Today we managed to destroy 2 allied units. A fragmented division that tried to get from Chungking to Sian, with the clear goal of disturbing my comunication lines. After a long march of 3 months without any supply, what was a regiment became something like a company...... was a massacre, not a fight.
In Oz, a Tank regiment that remained isolated from the allied retreat was heavily bombed during the day by 200 IJN bombers and then completely destroyed by a regiment of the 16th Division.[8D]
Nanning is again ready to fall and at Tsuyung the fight goes on.

Stay tuned!!!

Ah, all ends well. On with the war! I suppose the old and new houserules in place would be adhered to minimise misunderstandings.

Cheers!

Very glad to hear that Genereal [8D]

If you have time - start an Allied game as well. Lots of fun and it gives you quite a few good ideas about how to fight the Allies
more efficiently!
