Neither side finds in the Western Mediterranean (Allies rolled 9 and Italy 8).

France now searches in the Italian Coast.

Will Italy, or Germany, activate their air force?

Note that Allies have yet to decide whether to include their submarines or not.

CW bombs Taranto for effect.

Communist China liberate Suchow and advance into Manchuria. USSR retreat, and reinforce, Manchuria. Minor adjustments of the Soviet defence forces in the West.

The weather is somewhat inclement for the time of year. As a result everyone hunkers down - except for the Japanese in the Northern Monsoon zone.

There are no declarations of war and everyone chooses a Land.

The Japanese rail the 14th Infantry Army to Mukden

The 11th Infantry take Hengyang, but Congress is out playing golf and misses this.

The rest of Yammamoto's army group try and pressurise the Peking Militia in the mountains to the west of that city.

It is there that the Japanese attack. They have a 5:1 no modifiers.

The Chinese aircraft cannot make a difference to the odds and the Japanese choose not to fly either.

Orm do you choose Assault or Blitz? Should the Chinese unit be out of supply?

It should be OOS if one of the Japanese units to the West have a ZOC. Otherwise it can draw supply to Chihkiang.

China select assault.

The attack is a 5. The Chinese unit is destroyed but the Japanese impulse comes to a crashing halt as all are disorganised.

The Japanese re-base a fighter in the southern mountain area.

The impulse ends.

No declarations of war.

France take a combined impulse while CW and USSR take land.

No Port Strikes. No naval air. No naval movement.

France search in the Western Med but neither side finds (both sides rolled 4). But the French submarines patrolling the Italian coast find the Italian convoy (Allied rolled 3 and Axis 6). The 7 Allied surprise points were enough to sink the Italian convoy.

CW bomb Stettin without any effect (die roll 4).

The Soviet Union begins to bomb the Japanese Islands. The Industrial Area in Sapporo suffered severe damage.

USSR rail a militia to Manchuria and transfer Zhukov from Ukraine to the Smolensk area. CW rail Wavell from Morocco to Tunisia.

CW capture Homs in Libya. Communist China capture a resource in Manchuria and liberate Port Arthur.

A CW rebase fighters to Singapore.

CW use a TRS to reorganize the infantry in Homs.

The end of turn roll is a 10 and the turn continues.

The new weather roll is a 10 that is modified to a 12 and the weather is extremely bad.

No Declarations of war.

All powers choose a Naval.

The Japanese evacuate from Persia and sail for the South China Sea.

A Artillery unit lands in Vladivostok
A Militia unit lands in Seoul
An Infantry corps is picked up in the China Sea

The Finish Coastal battleships sail for the Arctic Ocean
The German Fleet heads for the Baltic

An Italian convoy sails into the Italian Coast

The Finns fail to find the Soviet Merchant shipping
The British fail to find the Italian convoy

The turn continues on a roll of 10

No declarations of war.

CW and France take combined while USSR take a land impulse.

No Port Strikes. No naval air.

CW send the Liner from France to the Eastern Med where it embarks the engineers from Gibraltar. One unloaded TRS Sail from India to the East

Indian Ocean.

CW search in the Western Med (9,6) and along the Italian coast (10,8) and find zilch.

No strategic bombing. No ground strikes.

Mao decide to garrison Port Arthur and rail the 5th garrison to the port.

Chinese communists liberate Tsingtao and Soochow.

The Soviet Union liberate Vitebsk.

USSR move into Bandar Shapur in Persia and that is the end of the Persian Campaign. All that remains now is to hunt down the partisans.

The Royal Engineers debark into Tunisia.

No land combats.

CW rebase a tactical bomber group and a air transport group from England to Southern France.

No reorganization.

I didn't pass since I was sure that the turn would end. Go figure that I rolled a 9 and the turn continues.

The weather remains atrocious and the Axis end the turn [&:]

Ho hum. Onwards and upwards [:D]

The Japanese rail a Militia from Hiroshima to Sasebo and another from Seoul to Mukden.

The Italians re-arrange their meagre forces in North Africa. When I say re-arrange that is another word for retreat [;)]

The Germans also retreat in Northern Russia.

Lastly the Japanese land in Southern Thailand with an Infantry army and in Central China with another.
