Many old scenarios look a new life ?
East Front III will ship with a completely new set of scenarios, depicting scenes from German invasion of Poland, Winter War, and the first year of Barbarossa.
If anyone wants to convert old classics, like "Terror at Borisov" as Ivan the Big is showing in a JTCS EF II screenshot above, they are of course welcome to do so. EF III will ship with a complete set of editors, as is the plan with all new games.
There's already been a plethora of old classics converted to Middle East format, so hope to see that trend to continue in Eastern Front as well [:)]

Yes, there are plans. We can't say when (which game, which update) that will happen, however.

The biggest problem with the scenario generator are the deploy of the units

Yes, that's why I think there is room for improvement for the Battle Generator. For example, I would like to have the option to pick out my units before I start the battle as well as the objectives.

Many only generate a map and save it then start up a OOB file and scenario file
and you control the deploying

It is not going to be supported any more. However, I will be keeping it on my hard drive for a loooooong Time to come till a game comes along that exceeds it (I personally like some of the graphics like trees better than CSME - somehow the scale of some of the vegetation in CSME is not as realistic as JTCS.

Lots of things bubbling under at Mods forum...
Here's something
XLVIIIPzKorp has been busy with lately. These take advantage of the 3DBaseCell parameter in platoon data, so unit types are to have their own individual bases with a nation.
It is getting crowded out there: [:)]

Example here. See the Royal Navy and Airforce bases together with regular Army and Para bases there.
Game immersion can often be about the details being there. I don't know about you guys, but I really love his work here. He's kindly allowed this base mod to be included in the coming 2.01 UPDATE. Thank you!

I believe someone on the forum mentioned that they liked seeing what types of weapons and infantry platoon would be carrying, so they could identify some of the capabilities of the units. In some of the Middle East countries, that information is available under F2 as part of the unit description.
I'm making a point to ensure that all the countries in Vietnam will have that information, as shown below:
