The Italians send a sizeable proportion of their navy to the West Med (4 BB, 7CA). Do the RN wish to intercept?

To move things on, I'll guess at no.

The Italian fleet goes to the 4-box.

Two ares for naval combat.

First up, the North Sea.

The Deutschland scouts ahead but cannot locate the enemy in the storms. The German vessels barely manage to locate each other. Searches: Axis 9, Allies 8.

West Med

In the West Med, the Garibaldi takes point. In swirling rain, it is unable to locate the RN fleet. Meanwhile air observers from the carriers have no trouble spotting the Italians. Searches Axis 6, Allies 1.

I presume the Allies won't want to include the fighter in the 2-box and will go for naval air combat with both Swordfish flying as bombers. How do the Allies wish to spend their surprise points? I don't think the Axis losses shown are correct as it does not appear to be allowing for the weather (unless it is applied after the AA).

Naval air combat. Can I drop AA to NE? I want to do that if possible.

I can't. I choose to avoid combat.

French CA to Bay of Biscay box 4, TRS to Cape St. Vincent box 0 loaded with TER from Morocco and 6 BB's from France to West Med box 3 (same as CW fleet). CP from Algeria enters West Med, Italians feels like intercepting?

Yes please. Disorganise a weak CA.

On a 5 intercept fails and CP moves to Bay of Biscay.

2 fast moving CA's from Oran (starting OOS) enters West Med, another intercept?
