Shifting to Allies

OK. Time to begin with the Allies.
Just fixed a nagging problem with the Colorado-Class. The upgrade was set to skip the first one and move to second in late-43. Brian spotted this issue and it is now fixed. Don't know how long it has been there but now we're OK there. Considering we have an additional Colorado BB (Washington), this is a good thing to fix!
We got that ID issue fixed earlier.
Are there other ALLIED bugs out there that needs to be looked at?

The Allies gain Washington as a Colorado-Class BB. This opens up the name of the RL Washington to another state. Nominations?
Japanese Additions to Kaigun

Looks like I have the final additions/changes to the Kaigun based on the Treaty changes and discussion here:
Capital Ships
BB Tosa (Kaga-Class)
BC Ishitaka (Amagi-Class)
LBC Chichibu (Chichibu-Class 2x2 16" Guns)
Carriers
Soryu Built as Hiryu-Class
CVLs Ryukaku (33 Planes) and Karasu (33 Planes)
CAs
The first two of the Mogami-Class are built as 8" CAs
CLs
There are still four Mogami-Class 6" CL with Tone and Chikuma being built as planned with 6" Turrets. These four ships start available for immediate conversion to 8" turrets but they need 90+ Days for the work to be done.
SS
Japan gains several more ML SS and 5 long-range I-Boats of the earliest classes.

Why would you not have
Soryu as her own class? The had to build her to figure out how to build
Hiryu.

Are there alternate upgrade paths in case a Japanese player does NOT want to upgrade the Mogamis and Tones to 8" rifles?

YES. The conversion is optional. You can progress them as CAs or CLs.
Oregon sounds good but I have to honor my longtime opponent and christen the USS Georgia...tip of the hat to Dan!

What is interesting is that both USS Oregon( BB-3 ) and USS Georgia( BB-15 ) were BBs constructed earlier and decommissioned.

The dreadnaught era USS Oregon was a museum ship in Portland when the war began and the Navy took her to scrap her for the steel. After starting the job, they decided they didn't need her for scrap and turned her into a barge instead. It was a rather ignoble end for such a notable ship. I'm sure the people of Oregon would have been thrilled to have a fast battleship named the Oregon.

...agreed Bill but Georgia might threaten to secede again during this naming crisis. We cannot have that. It might offend a particularly charming, southern man that makes his presence known here. Sacrifices must be made--for the sake of the nation! [:'(]

Here is a first pass at American construction of the USS Ranger. She looks rather heavily armored and MEAN! Specs are taken from Page 231 Option 8 of Friedman's book.

Why Ranger? Ranger is CV4. Which would also be a fine addition....GP

I've thought of bringing in the RL Ranger to the Mods.
One of the Fast BCs was to be named ranger so I went with that. If someone else has a good, appropriate name, I'll name her and the class that.
She is where she is due to not having any room in the Allied new classes area...

The first six frigates that were built were:
Chesapeake
Constitution
President
United States
Congress
Constellation
If you decide to bring CV-4
Ranger in, I have some interesting historical and hypothetical ideas for her.
