he did not attack my air bases this turn.

I am starting to see a pattern. airbases every 3 weeks. and combat units on the other 2.

not that this will help me. I think my flak is getting increasing kills. I will try and keep tally.

My opening attack. Up north.

I clear the clear hex to move in blocking mot unit for follow on attacks

The first major battle against strong defensive hex and top Russian leader

I then observe all these odd units hanging out by the fins.

So I assume he wants the units near Leningrad which may rout to rout way east. Does this mean all the hexes near Leningrad are full up.

Straight on tank attack cuts rr line into Leningrad

I notice a Guards Cav Corp.

The Russians put up a nasty defense and take heavy kia's. They retreat nonetheless.

Then we clear out the other strong defensive point. Again very heavy Russian air support

Many units are routing. Due to lack of space? Or retreat thru zoc?

one more push and we reach the lake's edge.

Remembering my supply 101 class, I bomb Leningrad supply port cutting off supply and evacuation.

Which leads to the following thoughts.

These Russian units are trapped. They will wither if I can cut the lake all the way to the fins.

No reason now to attack Leningrad. I will wait. First I will push with everything to cut off all possible supply.

There must be at least 24 divisions in Leningrad area. plus some assorted debutants.

North rr situation.

Although my east line was cut during last turns Russian attacks, I am set to reconnect the line. I have 2 rr repair units near by and the missing link will soon be fixed.

Next turn the far north is mud. My surrounded troops, in the far north area, will have to hold out during a mud turn before these tanks units shown here are used as the rescue force.

Due to limited Russian recon I don't believe these tanks were noticed.

the south soviet weather zone is just about where this attack occurs. This area will be clear next turn.

I thus start attempt to surround a few Russian units.

These attacks end up not being well thought out.

I even throw in air support on this hasty attack. The prior battle forced the Russian into the target surround hex on the far west of the Russian line.

still I keep running into very entrenched reserve activation
