Allies add no air and Japan has no air available. Allies roll 4 and that is low enough to find the convoy. The Axis roll of 3 does nothing to save the CP.

US launch a raid against Paris. One heavy bomber and one medium bomber. One fighter is on standby in Southern England should the bombers need fighter assistance. Germany has two fighters available for interception.

Surprisingly few aircraft remain in UK. A couple of NAV3 are hidden in the Liverpool stack. One can suspect that the fighter on a TRS in the Faeroes Gap is on its way to UK.

J/F 43 Axis 4
Germany and Italy combined. Japan naval.
Japan sends float fighter to South China Sea 4-box.
Japan sends CA from Bangkok to South China Sea 0-box. CA from Pontiak goes to the 4-box. 2 BB's from Hainan go to 3-box, where they are joined by CVL from Legaspi. I decline the intercepts on behalf of the Allies. Hopefully the correct choice.
Sub sails from Tokyo to Coral Sea 3-box.
The short range CA sails to China Sea 0-box. 3 slow BB's sail from Japan to China Sea 3-box. I decline the intercepts.
AMPH at Tokyo loads INF and moves to Chain Sea accompanied by 3 CV and 3 CS's. Do the Allies wish to intercept this one?

The task force continues to the Bismark Sea. To speed things along, I decline the intercept and the fleet stays in the 2-box. It is joined by 2 BB's from Legaspi.
Two subs sail from Rabaul to the Coral Sea 3 and 4 boxes.
2 CA's escort another loaded TRANS from Japan to China Sea. Do the Allies wish to intercept this one?

To move the game on, I'll assume a decline. We can always go back.
The ships continue to the Bismark Sea and settle in the 2-box (again I decline the intercept).
German sub sails from Kiel to Norwegian Sea 3-box. It is joined by an Italian sub sailing from Brest to the 2-box.
Japan declines naval combat in China Sea, South China Sea and Bismark Sea. An attempt is made in the Coral Sea. The sub in the 4-box initiates. Both sides roll a 1 for searching. How do the Allies wish to allocate damage?

No-one from the Allies is around so I'll put the D on Fiji plus as many A's as possible if it's damaged. The rest for the Gloucester and then Canberra.
Final tally.

Round 2.
Searches: Axis 5, Allies 4. No combat. CW ships go to Adelaide. Jap subs go to Tokyo and Rabaul.
Next up, Norwegian Sea.
The German sub initiates. Searches: Axis 2, Allies 1. How do the Allies wish to spend their 2 surprise points?

Increase the damage to at least one D. Otherwise reduce the damage suffered.
Abort port is Liverpool.

HMS Southampton dodges a couple of torpedoes.
Then, escorting destroyers plant a couple of depth charges on the U-boat, sending it limping back to Kiel.
