Besides the reference to Roy Orbison, it's interesting to watch Jeff Lynne counting to himself in the opening sequence. [8D]

Nice goldtop jhyden.

I've never owned a Les Paul (although it's been my favorite guitar since I discovered Jimmy Page and Ace Frehley when I was 14 years old). I did end up buying a 1970's Gibson ES335 when I was in my thirties. [:)]

Seems we both had similar taste when we were 14 [;)] I was Page, and Ace fan too, although I later became a Sabbath fan at 17, then moved to Rush ever since. I did get a LP STD in ebony black, I was also a Thin Lizzy fan and Scott Gorham played one in the 80´s.

Very nice guitar Red!

Yep, I listened to the same stuff... I had to. My older brother would buy hard rock albums while I was listening to the radio and buying pop singles (45's). [:)]
A lot of good music came out in the 70's! Around 1985 I had some music band/friends who were listening to Allan Holdsworth so I started to pay attention. This led to Jazz Guitar lessons (which went nowhere) in my thirties (and the now absent ES-335). (I just had a difficult time trying to understand the neck.)

I eventually turned in my six-string and bought a digital piano. This was just about ten years ago...

Some of the stuff you've posted I have heard of before (like Happy the Man) and reminded me of this guy I used to chat with from the Netherlands.
