Here's some of the losses as of T28:

Something interesting I just found was an HQ unit that has two different types of arty in it. The 3-hex range arty was what the game
engine used to give the unit as a whole it's range but there's some 2-hex range arty in the unit as well. So to get the full effect of the
arty of the unit it's got to be within 2 hexes not 3. Good to know.

The 250 Blue div does not have any infantry only the spare equipment slots

 
That was fixed back in August with the other fixes, but you guys had already started so you won't see those ... fixes.

Here's the next sector of the front lines going south from the above image. This too held steady so far. Lots of bombardment and
attacking but not much movement of Axis units. John got some reinforcements or something because I saw some units being railroaded
south in the playback. I can't tell where the effort emphasis is being placed. It feels like a broad-front strategy so far. But I'm on the
look-out for John concentrating his armour somewhere, making a big hole, and then railroading a bunch of units through the hole, all in
the passing of five or six turns. Like lightening.

Interesting that you are having trouble detirming John's primary objective. Certainly he's pushing on L-grad, but where is his primary thrust? BTW good airforce management Larry. Lot's of green air units and acceptable losses.

I feel a lot of pressure around the Kiev area, mostly on the riverbank. I'm thinking the main effort is happening there. I see bou cou
armour units standing nearby and sometimes taking part in the attacks.

John is using his bombers a LOT and I'm hoping my fighters aren't asleep anymore. I need to turn around the air war if I ever hope to
win this thing. I make fighters faster than John does and I have a lot more on hand than he does so I'm optimistic that it will eventually
turn around. It all depends on the loss rate. As you have indicated the squadrons are mostly in the green and are healthy and I'm
wondering if that's a clue that I'm not pushing them as hard as I need to, to get the upper hand in the air war. I'm just playing this thing
by ear.

Air looses for the turn. I normally cut in half what the system reports Larrys losses at.

Most of my forces are on cheery red and there are mud squares appearing on the map so this turn I have started to dig in and rest. There were a couple of small attacks but I will that to Larry. I did drop about 6 or 7 bridges this turn. The bridges that Larry repairs first will me an idea of where he may attack come winter. (supply lines)

There were some attacks, mostly bombardment by planes, but nothing has changed in the positions of the units in the middle.

I'm trying to accumulate a strategic reserve and I've started w/ the Heavy Duty Guards units at Moscow. I've got a handful of them now
and I'm leaving them on the railroad for fast dispatching.
