Okie dokie.......new moves from Thomas. Here's what's happening in Burma right now. The supply level went to 0 and my units got
weakened and Thomas opened fire and leaped across the river and is swamping my units. The mop-up will start shortly.

But on the other hand there's good news. I finally got my first batch of P-38's at Pearl. So I need to fly them to Australia as soon as I
can get them there. I've heard good things about that plane. We'll see.

Um.........I flew the P-38's out to Samoa and discovered to my delight that the range of those bad boys includes a couple of Jap bases.
That's Jim Dandy. I think maybe that the P-38's could reach Lae from Townsville. That would be megaCool.

And some more good news.......I found a P-47 squadron at Pearl. It's got a little better defensive value than the P-38 but both
excell at offensive operations. I'm a little bit offset in my gushing pride by the very limited range of the P-47. A range of 7 hexes
makes the P-47 good only over land operations, like China or New Guinea. But the P-38 can reach out and touch someone night
and day.

Okie dokie........new moves from Thomas, new turn. I received the Yorktown II CV as a reinforcement. I'm going to use it to sink
Tom's duplicate CV there near Pearl.

New turn, new moves from Thomas. In T80 I've received my first Corsair aircraft. It's just the first of many. It's one of the better
fighters. Can keep up with the Zero better than just about anything.

new moves from Thomas. These turns are going really fast because there's not much to do during the turn. There's not a whole lot
going on in the CBI area and the Pacific is calm so far.......I'm gaining ships to make some TF's that can be self supporting.

This is the turn where I receive the CV Bunker Hill. It's got the best planes too. And lots of them. We're almost ready to take on some
of the Jap ships of war. I'm thinking of trying to take back the middle islands. The middle islands: Midway, Wake, Etc.

The Bunker Hill has Hellcats for a fighter group and that's one of the better fighters. Okay, now we're ready to take on the Jap
air force. I'm going to put the carriers together and try to take back one of the outlaying islands.

I was moving the Bunker Hill straight south from Pearl to one of the outlaying islands on the way to OZ and I got interdicted and I
shot down a bunch of Jap planes. This is what I'm talking about.

Here's how the air war is going right now. The Japs are flying some terrific INT missions. I can't move anything without it being
hit multiple times. I'm not surprised that there's a lot of Jap planes getting shot down.

During Tom's turn he flew in some of his heavy guns and attacked my carriers and sank three of the four I had there. D'oh.
Well, that's it..... the war is lost. There's not much I can do to the Japs without some carriers. This scenario isn't like FITE and
all those land combat games. It's a whole new ballgame. I've got a lot to learn.

Hey I just ran past 22K in posts. I did a lookup on the highest posters and these are they:

It turns out that that Corsair group at Pearl isn't going to get any more planes until about T93 or so. So there's that lone plane in the
whole group. I'll just leave it parked at Pearl so it doesn't get shot down somewhere. I was a bit disappointed to find out that the
Corsairs aren't really HERE yet. Another 9 turns. We'll just have to make do. I've already got the P-47's and P-38's in combat near
Port Moresby and they seem to be making a difference. It's too early to celebrate though.

Here's what's going on in India. I've started to fight back and I'm trying to bust a hole in his lines and maybe surround and destroy
some of those yellow bastards. I mean those gentlemen.

The Japs are clearing out China and using the Ledo and Burma roads for supply in addition to that supply that comes from
Bangkok and Rangoon. So the Allies have their hands full in the job of taking it all back.

I've been wondering what kind of problem it would be to try to take over Java. It's within bombing range from OZ and the problem
with the idea is that it's not within fighter cover from OZ and that's a major problem for me but it never seemed to stop Thomas.
Right? I guess he was counting on the fighters the carriers could provide. That's what I would do for situations like this one. I've got to
do some recon of Java to see what kind of defense there is anyway. I'll keep you posted.

Here's the Port Moresby area now. Too much Jap air power. I'm getting a lot of pilots shot down when I do airstrikes on Lae. But on
the other hand the Japs are losing some planes and pilots too. I feel like doing a comparison of the various production rates of the
various planes. I'll put one together and post what I find.
