I googled night glasses and got this:

Edit: They probably cost a nickel apiece to make.

I just now got some new moves from Brian. I volunteered to abandon the game
if he saw fit and he said he wants to keep going. What a trooper. He's doing
his moves despite the pain. Plus, he's a pretty good WITP-AE player

I'm still watching the combat replay and there was a big furball over Heng
Yang north of Canton, China. I've been pulling the best reserve pilots into
the squadrons and here's a case where it's paid off handsomely.

EDIT: I keep editing the post to get the picture to show but the system can't
figure it out or it's garbled or something else entirely is wrong. Sorry
about that.

Thank goodness that the name for Balikpapan didn't change with RHS. Anyway, I just now captured it and it looks like there was severe damage on the facilities
but I think maybe I can fix most of it. Look at the size of that oil well. I might be able to take advantage of that. I'll start rounding up some tankers
for the oil trips I'm going to make. I'll first take the oil to Karor ( Babeldoab ) and from there it'll go to probably Hiroshima or Kobe. And then back to
Balikpapan by the senic route.

I've got to capture a lot of the airfields around Balikpapan just to keep some CAP going on the routes to and from Balikpapan. Some top cover. That means
I'll have to think about the northern edge of the route and that includes Zamboanga and Davao.

So now you have the fuel for your fleet but no more than. At least this is the situation in "stock". Here but, the refnireies size is smaller- if i'm not wrong but I could.

In normal stock I'd repair them for sure. Here it may depnds on your supply generation.

Yeah, you're right. It's still Jan. of '42 and I'm already running low on
supplies in the home islands. I turned off the expansion of ports and
airfields and also the repairs on the industry facilities. The supply level
is finally on it's way back up. Tokyo has 27K of supply now. That was
close.

I just now got Balikpapan and I'm still pounding Singapore and Manila and
neither one is going to fall anytime soon so I'll concentrate on the attempt
on Palembang and play the rest by ear, with the supplies so uncertain and
everything.

I received some new moves from Brian a few minutes ago and I watched the combat replay and went through the
Combat Reporter data and now I'm just about to look at the Tracker data but I thought you'd like to see how
many PP's I have. I'm swimming in them. I'm thinking of buying out the Manchurian Garrison and using them
in China or something. The Soviets are already active so there's no detrament to doing so.

The scenario is designed to have the Soviets active from the start, is what I was told. Brian and I are co-existing
right now. I don't shoot at him and he doesn't shoot at me and hopefully it's going to stay that way for a while yet.

New moves from Brian. Here's the Jan. 15, '42 economic chart. Everything seems to be going well at the moment.

So there I was, watching the combat replay and all of a sudden I get some TT hits on an Allied AK right outside
of Pearl Harbor. I like to loiter there because a lot of the SFO traffic goes through that area.

When I went around the home islands turning off the expansion of anything I must have missed Yokohoma because it
just now completed it's 7th level on the airfield. I want a 10 level field there eventually but there's plenty
of time to grow the airport and right now I need the supply to go to Karor really badly. I just recently
captured Balikpapan and now it's needing supplies to get over the 10K limits for expansion.

Here's the situation at Hong Kong. I don't have enough supply to expand anything so I'm still waiting for a
shipment of supply to arrive from Tokyo ( indirectly ) and it hasn't arrived yet. I'll look into it. Send 'em
an email.

There's a situation at Kaifeng that's starting to be typical along the front
lines all over the map. There's places that have completed their second level
of sandbags and I'm wondering if I need to go to a third level or not and I've
decided that I don't plan on giving up any terrain anytime soon so it's not a
military need right now. I'll give it more thought as whe war goes on of
course.

But the special situation at Kaifend is that I have to run my boats past an
Allied port at Cheng Chow, which is right across the river from Kaifeng and
so to get the RES from Kaifeng to Shanghi ( on the coast at the other end
of this river ) coming and going I gotta pass that base so I thought it
prudent to just go capture Cheng Chow and make that problem go away. We're
in the serious negotiations stage right now. No clear winner yet. More
talks are needed. I think my daily bombings are encouragement for a settlement.

TF 323 is a group of support ships from Hiroshima headed for Truk and they are
to be spread out among the major hubs and major ports, like Rabaul. I sent them
empty of supplies so that if one of them was lost on the transit at least the
supplies wouldn't be lost too. Besides the boats sit higher in the water and
sail a tiny bit faster when they are empty.

I'm going to think about where to send the AGP, for now just park it at Truk.
The six AKE's are to be loaded with supplies and distributed to Karor and
Rabaul and Manado and Balikpapan and Kwajalein and wherever the front lines
require one I guess. I'm making more for the west side of the Phillippines.
I need one at Hong Kong, Cam Ranh Bay, Saigon, Miri, and eventually Palembang
or Singkawang and at least one place on the southern coast of Borneo somewhere.

Here's what's parked at Truk right now. I landed a CV group there to refuel
them and they will be leaving at dusk for the Rabaul area where I hope to find
four more CV's to split them up into two CV-groups for more efficiency. Plus,
I wanted to swap out the squadrons for those that were full of planes. And
had more experience. Better squadrons.

A lot of those support ships arrived in a previous trip from Osaka and some
of them arrived with minor damage. There's a couple of AS's in the mix and
I'm not sure I need both of them at Truk so I'm thinking of sending one to
Karor for the subs that will operate in the Celebes-Darwin area. I've
discovered that you have to consider whether or not to replace the leader
before you've built the sub TF. Otherwise the button to view his stats isn't
present and you find you have to disband it to get access to the button(s)
required. I've replaced about five sub leaders so far. It's too early to
tell whether or not it's making a difference.

I check out the leaders of the air squadrons too and replace weak leaders
with better ones.

I suppose I'll eventually have to go through all the HQ units and check out
all the leaders for the LCU's as well.

Here's a view from CRB to almost Darwin. The CRB waters including some of the Celebese Sea traffic.
I've been planting mines on the important points and so far I've damaged a ship using them. I
can't plant enough mines.

Here's what's happening around Rabaul. I still haven't flown some planes
to Rabaul and the hold up is there's none within range. It's going to have
to be a staged project getting some planes here. I'm using the carriers for
top cover and it's working so far. I'm planning on taking the carriers
further to the NW closer to Port Moresby to do an airfield raid to get an
idea what is present there in the hex. Plus, do some damage to the airfield
if possible. I'm wondering if I can leave a SCTF sitting at Port Moresby to
keep any pesky TF's from delievering supplies to PM. I really need a Betty
group at Rabaul to keep the sea lanes dangerous for the Allies.
