Well looks like I have gotten a lot of troops back to India, all of the supplies where in Rangoon to make a long term stand, but that did not matter when my troops retreated the wrong way. My Dunkirk in Burma has given me some hope to hold I ndia a little longer. He has a long journey from Burma to India, so maybe I can give hime some fits. My South Pacific operation is going to go into high gear in the next few turns. This game is a long way from over, I plan to make him pay a ton to when this game. The allies will never give up.

When you see the AAR you will see my "Dunkirk" of Burma was a sucess. He only took a around 5000 troops in Mouleim. These rest are in India proper. I figure it will take him several months to regroup and move through those slow jungle hexes. Maybe my armies can regain all of there strength and make it tough for him to take India. Don't think that is going to happen, cause he will throw close to 10000 assult points that way. My only hope now is to invade Japan. Maybe he will not be able to get enogh points back by 44 or 45. Maybe my subs will hit something by then.

OK, I installed some different fonts back in July to make the words appear bigger. This is probably why there is this difference. There is a thread about it somewhere.

I'm thinking about cutting out all material that doesn't seem vital to the flow of the game from here on out in the AAR. This will create shorter reports with a lot more focus on the important events occuring. If the longer approach is still considered best, please let me know.

Yeah, Zeta's got a problem because he wasn't able to bomb the island prior to invasion. He probably should have done some repeated advanced bombardments with his BBs - stick a supply TF with AD,AE,AOs in it a ways back, and sent the BBs in rotation to wear things down first.

Speaking of bombing islands, does anyone know if B-29s can bomb Hawaii from the West Coast? Zeta may want to consider that once his B-29s start to show up, since he won't have bases in China to use for bombing Japan.

Zeta - BTW - did you recon Midway ahead of time, or keep quiet to keep it a surprise?

The problem is Midway is a long way from Seattle, where the ships came from. He can't just stick around because of problems with supply and fuel. Anyway, he landed two divisions but they appear to be damaged a bit. He can still take the place though.

Ouch, another dreaded bug huh? Makes me wonder what's in store for us when we all get to 44 and '45.

Are you saying that you landed 4 divisions on Midway and they "teleported" back to San Fran? Did anything else change or get goofed up? Were the troops in place for more than 1 turn?
