Note that the 2 Japanese CVP are on the aborting carrier. And the 5 strength US CVP is also on a aborting carrier.

That ends the naval combat, and the action for this evening. I expect to continue with our impulse tomorrow.

I suspect they are waiting until just before the turn ends when they will inevitably find the convoys and cause the usual mayhem.

I would like that. But I doubt they will dare to try with all the escorts.

Although I might feel lucky and change my mind. [:D]

If I added it up correctly, the Japanese lost Hiryu, Kako, 4 CVPs and 3 pilots (including one CVP that went down with the Hiryu) to an Allied loss of, um, nothing. That hurts.

No strategic bombing. No Ground Strikes.

One Spanish Corps rail from southern Spain to Bilbao.

CW forces liberate Cadiz and Valencia. 1st South-African Corps advance slowly from Port Sudan towards Eritrea.

Philippine forces moves southwards, from Manila, towards the Japanese landing.

Over to Lord Warspite1 for the 2nd part of our impulse.

Impulse: 7 (Allied)

Land Movement (cont):
United States

The US 15th Army Group continues to plow its lonely furrow in the frozen landscape of Lapland.

Soviet Union

Not much to write home about here. Reinforcements have been ordered up into the Taman Peninusular, while west of Moscow the distinctive sound of T-34's are heard in the distance....

Communist Chinese

Lead elements of Mao's Western Army are almost at Suchow.

China

The Chinese under Chiang Kai Shek continue to show a keen interest in French Indo-China, while Stilwell sits impassively outside Shanghai.

Land Combat:
Commonwealth

There is just one attack this turn. One of the two pesky partisans in Malaya feels the brunt of Indian Army mechanised forces and swiftly shuffles off this mortal coil.

An Aussie Bommerang took off from the Solomon Islands and flew to New Ireland but found itself back where it started. It was only at the fourth time of trying the pilot managed to get the thing landed. "Next time I'll stick to aircraft" he said....

United States

A Hellcat flies to New Britain and a Lightning lands the other side of Rabaul on Feni along with a Hudson
Back in Europesville a Liberator heads to the UK from Greenland, a fighter in Belfast heads for Dover and a Flying Fortress heads from oooop north to Harwich

Soviet Union

The Soviets bring a couple of bombers further south on the Leningrad Front and also bring a fighter unit more into play southwest of Moscow

Reorganisation:
United States

Clark reorganises an aircraft in Singapore.

J/F 43 Axis 10

Germany land. Italy and Japan combined.

Italy sends FTR and SM.84 to East Med 2-box.

Japan sends 2 CA and 2 TRANS, one loaded with MIL from Fukuoka to China Sea. Do the Allies wish to intercept?
