The End
Looks like the game is kerfluckt. Apparantly Cpt Flam's Red Army was trying to create 147 new guard units and my turn seized up. Oh well. Another game that goes down into the "not finished, too bad" catagory.
Here is the map at the end - hard to see, but there are three panzer corps circling wide of the Volga to isolate Stalingrad in a couple of turns and three panzer corps driving hard to Kazan to try and roll up the Northern Volga. I had reached a point of open maneuver again, and I think it would have been several turns at least before I was slowed again.
The moral of the story is simple. Don't count your chickens before they cross the road to get to the other side.

Here is the ending OOB - note I had the Red Army below 4m men again

And most importantly, here is the Bicycle Battalion, a bit worse for wear after the campaign season (and pedaling like madmen to keep up with the tanks of 1st Panzer)

And so I bid this AAR adieu. As I said, it would have been nice to win out, I was at about 260 victory points when it all ended. By the end of the 42 campaign seasin I should have had 10 more at least. In my eyes, victory could have been achieved in 1943.
Cpt Flam came under undue criticism in this game from those observing, but I think that I play a different style of game from what some others play. Players like Ketza and some others also play this way, and the results have been similar (or will be). I expect that as Axis players get more games under their belts more people will begin to see some of the same.
I am not the most stellar player, but I do try to grab and keep the initiative. I have learned to bust carpets, I love seeing checkerboards, and there is not a salient that exists that doesn't get me thinking about encircling. That has to be the way, I think.

Impressive work, probably the best that has been shown on the board. I'd be happy to take you on at some point (me as Sovs) once you've had a full chance to R&R from this one.

Ahem...not if I can help it!
Although I admit to having concerns about the 1942 campaign...
Very good game and AAR, I think you can put this one in the Win column.

Too bad that the game must end this way. I really enjoyed reading it; top notch!

I can't in all good faith claim anything. The game ended due to a bug snafu. While I do think I would have won, I did not. In other games where I opted out, even in winning positions, I have only claimed a draw. Thus the same here.

Have you guys asked the devs to look at the file? Any idea what happened to it? So far this game has been very stable with very few such problems, although you are one of the few to reach so far in the campaign.

Yeah, I sent in the files. Joel hinted that there was a problem at times with guard creation in the past.

What if the developers will find the bug and fix it? Would both of you like to continue the game if it would be possible? They may not fix it so quick due to Easter break, but seeing how fast they responded to vehicle production bug, I'm full of hope that your issue is recoverable and that they will find solution.
I would really love to see what would happen next in your AAR!

Well, .14 fixed the guards problem, but I am still not sure it is worth going on. I was able to finish my turn however - that is a big hurrah for the team and their bug squashing.
