Oh, I was tempted.[8D]. The war in China is just butchery. Orders are out for March 1st and I hope to see all my attack transport conversions begin on time. All the IJ aircraft vanish from Tulagi. There is still a spot everyday now on carriers, cruisers, and now a battleship.

NorPac: Tuesday March 2, 1943
Time to get busy.
SoPac: All Japanese have been cleared south of Luganville.
SwPac: Large (80) concentration of fighters discovered at Darwin. I know they want to CAP trap me over Daly Waters. 140,ooo pts of fuel approach. All conversions to attack transports begin. A large number of all types refit.
Burma: The IJA resumes the march east on Katha. We are waiting.
Time to get busy.

Thursday
Burma: USAF takes out some frustration on the IJ over Prome.
SoPac: Disrupted marines load way to slow after the mop up was complete. Over 30 squads are still disorganized. I am in the middle of his submarine play ground here. I am going against my usual methods and assigning ASW arcs to boost protection. The SCs are actually losing the ASW war so I send a dedicated DE in to assist.

March 5, 1943
China: Bombing impact lessened do in most part to better terrain.
SoPac: Still trying to get "Chesty" and his Marines off Efate. The Fiji paratroops dropped in, were picked up the next day, and are preparing another "grab".
SwPac: Mostly refining ASW and search arcs. Watching the shipyards.
