Baku final
I do my best to secure whats left of the gap.
You can see mountain unit on rr heading east.
I have very low troop movement rr capacity as i had tried to increase supply to get better fuel. In the reserve button, i took the 10% up to like 50% and then had to immediately lower. the cost in ap's absolutely hurt.
Perfectly wrong timing as i had about 30K in troop transport and then it dropped to about 5K capacity. thus I could not evac the far west in time.

so at 26% reserve, my troop capacity was 5K.
Just bad and Stalin should be ashamed he did not get the whip out.

B/c Astrakhan is so far away mp's wise, his flank here has no worries no concerns.

The train line remains open for troops retreating from the far west and Crimea which is being evacuated.
But 2 issues.
train capacity is so low, and the trip from there takes 2 weeks on the train. Some must also do a ship transport.
If I had my (prior to adjust to supply reserve) 25K troop transport, I would have had a better chance.
I'm also using naval evac. It's orderly but I need more time, more capacity and I need to keep open the train line.
Also, as i am losing so many troops my AP points each turn are reduced and using them it a delicate balance of needs.
I will learn another lesson about the map very soon. I start to lower the reserve amount, as tank fuel supply never improved.

So this mountain attack was very upsetting. His mountain unit is so far from supply.
Anyhow, now my rr is cut off.

So it seems that defensive reserve can commit thru zoc's.
That's how i read this battle.

THIS IS THE ATTACK WHICH SUMS UP War 1.
so few German tanks killed , desperate Russian situation, as far away from the Reich as tanks can be, bounded by the sea and rough terrain. 1500 artillery tubes.
the 3 German tanks probable got stuck on some bad road rut and are now waiting for a tow.

attack on Panzers in middle.
Now I do hope the German armor which reserve activated has zero MP's next turn.
I thought I read that rule somewhere.
